This is a good running and driving 1973 Jeep CJ5 offered at no reserve to the highest bid. The engine and transmission are strong and work great. There is no smoke or unusual noises. It could be driven while restored. It is equipped with a 304 V8 and a t-18 4 speed with granny low. The rear axle is a factory Dana 44. The front is a Dana 30. The Jeep has mainly been sitting next to my garage for the last few years. I just put some fresh gas and a battery in it, gave it an oil change, but I know the brakes will need some attention soon. The exhaust system is also nearing it's end. I have since driven it through town just to get the fluids flowing. (maybe 20 miles.) I was going to keep this one forever, but I've been busy and haven't been Jeeping in over 3 years. I don't want to watch this classic just rot away. This would be a perfect candidate for an easy restoration or a very capable trail rig. The body tub isn't that far gone, but does have some repairable rust spots in usual places. The frame looks very solid, no scaley rust. Please ask questions as there are many things that I'm sure have been left out in the description. (It would be nearly impossible to cover every square inch on an older vehicle here). Again, if it's important to you, Please ASK. Update, 11/23/10 : There is a nice bikini top (hard to see) laying on the passenger seat that is also included withe Jeep. The side windows on the doors are there, just can't be seen because they were zipped down during the picture taking. The zippers work great on both windows. The front windshield has a couple of cracks and probably should be replaced for legal daily street use. It would be fine for off road. The seats are from 1973 and the uphoulstery (what's left) shows it. Again, I want you to know everything possible about the Jeep so please contact me with your questions. Obviously, the vehicle will not leave our possession until full payment has CLEARED. We can deliver the vehicle to a shipping terminal within 50 miles for an additional fee (to cover time and expenses). Vehicles need to be picked up within 2 weeks of auction end unless previous arrangements have been made. You are more than welcome to pick up the vehicle in person, straight off the lot. Inspections. I highly encourage inspections on all vehicles offered, either in person, or by a hired professional. The vehicle will be made available for inspection by appointment. Most vehicles are generally purchased by us at dealer only auctions for the sole purpose of resale. They have not undergone any type of inspections for ANYTHING. All descriptions given are a general observation based on a very limited contact with the vehicles. My definition of nice may not be the same as someone elses. It's just a matter of opinion. I will say, however, we have been able to maintain a 100% positive feedback rating here on Ebay which doesn't happen by accident or trying to swindle people. I buy as well as sell on here and don't like giving or getting surprises. I do not offer any vehicle on here that I have not personally driven and found to be sound. You should expect to do some type of maintenance or minor repairs to any vehicle listed on here. This means things like wiper blades, belts, hoses, fluid changes, bulb replacements, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, brake linings, fuses, etc.... (easy, no brainer items). You won't be getting serious stuff like a cracked engine block, knocking rod bearing, blown head gasket, noisy or slipping transmission, slipping clutch, noisy differentials. Preparing, listing, and managing these online auctions costs real time and money. Please have all your financing in place before bidding. We are selling the above vehicle outright.
