This auction is for a remarkable 1934 Dodge Pick up Street Rod. My father built this truck over several years and finished it about 15 years ago. No expense or detail was spare in building it and it shows. After he completed it he took it to several shows and never lost. He also drove it to several rod runs in and out of town and it was extremely reliable and streetable. Unfortunately 12 years ago he suffered a stroke and was no longer able to drive it. It has been stored in my garage ever since under a custom car cover except for once a twice a year in the summer when I would get it out and take him for a drive. He passed away this June and I have not had it running this year and do not have the heart to do so right now so my loss is your gain. I have no reason to believe that getting it running should not be relatively easy as I have driven it every year until this one but am selling it as is with the understanding it has not run this year. The truck as originally built had a 671 blower on it which my father requested be removed a few years back. The blower and all associated parts have been carefully stored in plastic in my heated basement ever since. Reinstalling it should be simple matter of putting everything back on as the engine was set up from the beginning for the blower. The first carb is on the car and the second is also stored in plastic with the blower. The truck is set up so you still have a full hood even with the blower on. All of these items are included in the auction. The truck has a Corvette rear end, 350 Chevrolet small block, automatic transmission, front disc brakes, power windows, tilt wheel, leather interior, AM/FM/Cassette. The wheels are True Spoke wire wheels including the spare with basically brand new tires. The detailing on the truck is incredible, nothing was left out. As I said earlier the truck was completed about 15 years ago so there is some cracking in the paint which I understand almost always happens with time. Upon request I will attempt to take pictures of it but I do not know if it will show up in pictures. Truck is sold as is so a buyer needs to be aware that the paint does have some issues. I advise interested bidders to make a personal inspection. Also the passenger window is cracked. This is a truly beautiful Street Rod that with relatively little work would hold its own at any car show or rod in the country.
