I am listing this jeep for my friend Joe, so if you have any questions not answered in the below description, PLEASE call him directly on his cell at (805) 235-1219 Pacific time. This is what I was told about this Jeep; It was bought new by Joe's neighbor, the original bill of sale and owner's manuals are still in the glovebox. It was used primarily to haul feed for farm animals, and was only driven for 2 years, and then parked for the next 24 years. It sat until 2009, when Joe bought it. He replaced the brakes, tires, seats, windshield & rubber, and tailgate. In the engine compartment, all the hoses & belts were replaced, as well as the plastic valve cover (with a new aluminum one) alternator, starter, shocks, fender flares, ignition wires and plugs. It got a new turnsignal and ignition switch, as well as new fuel hoses and axle seals, plus a new muffler and gas cap, he polished the original wheels and installed new Michelin tires. Joe then detailed it thoroughly, all the paint is original except for the tailgate, and he then had it checked by a local professional mechanic, and has driven it daily over the last year and a half, so all the bugs have been chased out. It passes CA smog checks without a hitch. This Jeep was never been abused, taken four wheeling, and has never been in an accident. There is NO rust, it has been located here in CA on one block since new. You will NOT be able to find a straighter one in this nice of condition anywhere else, so if you want a vintage collectible Jeep Scrambler that will only appreciate in value, this one's for you! This is the first time this Jeep has ever been offered for sale since it was new, and we reserve the right to sell it locally before the end of the auction, but it isn't being offered except on Ebay.
