This is an original rust-free, accident-free California car that we have known for some time. This has been a long-time project for one of our customers and now that it's done, he has decided it is time to put it on the market. These cars are becoming very rare and good, solid, rust-free, accident-free cars are increasingly hard to find. The car was stripped to a bare shell for the paint job. The paint and body are very nice but there are a few minor nicks and chips. The interior is all new and very nice. The engine is all rebuilt and runs excellent. The front suspension is all rebuilt and powder-coated. The brakes are all new all the way around, including all hydraulics and hoses. About Us During the 1970's the owner/operator of British Sports Cars, Peter Jurgens, built and raced cars for a living in the United Kingdom. In 1979 one of his sponsors, Britax Sunroofs asked if he would consider moving to California to open a subsidiary for the sunroof company. In 1980 he moved to San Luis Obispo and started British Sunroofs and Conversions. What he did not know was that the British auto industry had gone out of business in the US leaving lots of British cars with no specialist repair shops. He soon had more people wanting their cars serviced, than people wanting sunroofs. In 1981 the name of the business was changed to British Sports Cars. A full European auto parts department was started within the business along with sales and service. Today Peter still repairs sunroofs and is the only person in the San Luis Obispo area that does so. Since he was 13 years old, Peter has been building, restoring, racing and servicing British cars.
