Vehicle Detail

This one-ton Chevy dually should be in a museum, it is that nice ! It has never been restored but has been well taken care of by the second owner. He had owned it since Oct. of 1979 till I bought it from him recently. This dually would look great hauling a gasser, drag car or dragster, nostalgic racer, musclecar, streetrod, custom bike, Harley Davidson, or your toys in a fifth wheel toy hauler/camper. Original mileage is 113,522 on this classic Silverado 30 CAMPER SPECIAL dually truck - around 30,000 miles on rebuilt original (numbers matching) 454 BBC engine bored .030 over, pump gas friendly, mild rv cam (have spec card), reciprocating assembly was balanced, double roller chain and gears, original heads that have been ported and flowed, larger valves were installed, Edelbrock Performer intake, MSD Adjustable Timing Control with H.E.I. distributor, Jacobs plug wires, Voyager electric trailer brake control, custom cloth bucket seats with folding center that has cup holders, carpet has been replaced, original paint- except on rear fenders - NO RUST ! Still has working factory A/C and heat, original TH-400 auto trans (rebuilt), Doug Thorley Tri-Y headers with true dual exhaust and a crossover pipe, “Air Lift” air bags-front & rear, 16,000 lb. Reese 4-way rocker fifth wheel hitch, the bed is Rhino Lined, has 2-20 gallon factory fuel tanks plus a 50 gallon gas tank & tool box in the bed, two Sears Craftsman tool boxes mounted behind the wheel wells, and all can be locked. All 6 Goodyear tires match and are in great shape, mounted on the stock 16'' steel rims which have the locking dually simulators on them. Still has the spare tire and rim under the bed. Truck has a working CB radio, spotlight and a GM replacement am/fm cassette player. This truck was owned for almost 31 years by the second owner; who kept it in meticulous shape. He used it to haul his fifth wheel trailer up to the rim by Payson, AZ. and to the dunes near Clamis, Ca. I have a folder full of receipts that is over an inch thick ! Also comes with service manuals. This truck cost $4400 originaly and has appreciated in value since then. Looking for an investment for your money that you know will appreciate every year, this dually is it ! Better investment than the stockmarket right now ! This truck is not in show room condition but is a great example of Chevrolet history. Sorry, not looking for any vehicle trades. I am looking for a 502 Ramjet motor (new or low miles). Check out nadaguides.com for the value of this truck. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time due to the fact that this truck is for sale locally. Let me know if you need any more info or pics of a certain area of the truck. Wanted to make it clear that the truck still has the factory leaf springs out back(overload springs have been taken out, but still have them) and the factory coil springs in the front. The 4 air bags can be adjusted individually, very easily. Does not have the frame-mounted compressor. The rear gear is a 4:11. Forgot to mention that the rear window is a slider and that there use to be a Taylor truck wing mounted on top of the cab (brackets are still mounted on roof), which has been sold. I do have receipts showing the motor was rebuilt and balanced back around 2002-03. Also have the instruction manual for having the 50 gallon auxilliary fuel tank valve plumbed into the trucks fuel system(valve was installed at one time, but has been removed, still have in my possesion). The elec. switch for this valve is in the cab. As you can tell from the pic of the engine compartment, the previous owner made the factory air cleaner into a dual snorkel cold air intake which feeds through a K&N air filter. It looks almost stock, very clean job. Check out my other rides for sale here on eBay.
