Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I have a three owner Porsche 912E. This is a special car as it was made only one year. In 1976 Porsche introduced this model as an interim till its new model was introduced It was the first year of the Porsche galvanized body's. There were just over 2000 made and only 250 or so with the sunroof that this model has. It has the original fuchs with newer tires and five speed tranny with black leather 911 seats. This car was brought in from the States and had been in storage for over 20 years (car was hidden during a divorce in the Wisconsin). The car has a Manitoba registration as well I still have title for Wisconsin . This car has a good body and comes with a spare VW 2000 cc 1976 Vanagan motor. I have the original steel rims and chrome hubcaps, these wheels were trued and painted. The tank was steamed and Por 15 gas tank treated. I have changed the brake master cylinder with a large 911 one. Many of the steel brake lines were changed. All of the front hood and rear hood opening cylinders were changed. The sunroof works great. I put in a blaupunkt stereo but it has a newer CD player with removable face. All of the instruments work including the clock. The plug wires and all of the filters have been changed. I have another Porsche and have just bought an MG TD so this baby has to go on to someone else. It has all the pleasure and looks of the 911 but the economy and cost of a Miata. I noticed that the light on the dash for charging is dimming a little so I have another alternator in case it is going. I have no more time for this as I need to work on my other projects. There is a new exhaust on the car. I have put in new heater box controls and connecting pipes and control wires. I have done everything basically to get this ready for the road. I can help with shipping into the US as it is only 59 Miles to the Minnesota border. I have spare parts for the fuel system and other spare parts that go with it, This would be a nice investment as they will only get more expensive. If you need more info or pictures email me. I am planning to store this for the winter and would prefer it sold now. Spring price will be a lot more. Thanks and good luck to all. On 17-Sep-10 at 12:40:27 EDT, seller added the following information: OK here is some additional information as I am getting overwhelmed with emails: No I won't sell this to a third party, if your not the buyer and the bidder please don't bid on this. Yes this car is for real and no I won't sell it outside of eBay. No I won't take money from a third party. No I won't trade for a Harley or another car. Yes this is the same price as a MGB and a Miata. No this is not a show car it is a driver, if you want to make it a show car you can. Yes this car has been in storage since the late 1980's. Yes if you are local you can come and look at the car. Yes your neighbors won't know the difference from the 912E and a 911. Yes you will save money on gas and insurance. Yes you can buy motor parts at your local VW dealer. I know this information will help some out there. If you have any other questions feel free to email me and/or I can chat with you if you want my number email me. I really do not want to ship overseas as I am not even sure how to do that. I prefer USA or Canada. Thanks Hugh On 18-Sep-10 at 23:09:22 EDT, seller added the following information: Re-Importing A Previously Exported Vehicle A vehicle taken from the United States for non-commercial, private use may be returned duty free by proving to U.S. Customs that it was previously owned and registered in the United States. This proof may be a state-issued registration card for the automobile or a bill of sale for the car from a U.S. dealer. Repairs or accessories acquired abroad for your vehicle must be declared on your return and may be subject to duty. As I have the original title from Wisconsin this vehicle will qualify.
