We have desided to part with our custom designed, award winning, 1980 Buick LeSabre Hearse since we just got another one and we don't really need them both. This baby only has 53,000 ACTUAL miles since we only used it 2 months out of the year. We run a licensed, non-profit, exotic animal rescue/educational facility and we used this for our Halloween "Creatures of The Night" performances. It has placed either first or second in every contest it was ever entered in! We have owned this beauty since 2003 and have never had any type of engine or electrical problems whatsoever and she starts up every time with no problems and runs great. She purrs, unlike most hearses, because we had a special muffler installed so as not to scare the animals we transported. I don't mean she actually purrs.....she just runs extremely quietly!! Everything is original (except the stereo) and there are no rips or tears in either of the seats. We installed a real nice stereo with CD player and remote so we had something to listen to during our long drives. We had the oil changed religeously every 3000 miles and I would have no problems driving this across the country right now! There are no leaks that I know of, nor has it ever leaked. There are a few minor problems which I need to point out: the back power windows don't work (they haven't since we bought this hearse) and the rear driver's side window is plexiglass, not glass. I hit it while snow blowing and broke it by accident. Also, the rear passenger door has never opened. We didn't care because we always used either the driver's side rear door or the very back swinging door. The air and heat works but the air needs to be recharged (we never drive this during the summer so we never had it charged). Also, there is some minor rust, which is expected with any 20 year old vehicle. Please feel free to call me at (313) 819-5719 with ANY questions as we are selling this as is. We are starting the bidding at only $1000 (the decals alone cost us way more than that!) and we are selling it with NO RESERVE, which means the highest bidder owns it. If you don't want the decals, then they can be easily removed. We've already removed our web site and phone number from both sides and the back. We have the right to end this auction early since we are putting this hearse in front of our with a for sale sign this afternoon.
