Mustang 1965 2 + 2 fastback , V8 289 Engine VIN #5R09A242211. I’m the second owner of this car and have owned it since high school. The only reason I’m selling it and not finishing it is because I have another project I’m working on. The body and its components including firewall and wheel well areas have been totally stripped of paint and 90% of the body work has been completed. Other than normal surface rust on the frame and some related parts this is a California, Arizona owned rust free car. As indicated the body has been totally media stripped of paint and is bare metal except for the film the media leaves to temporally protect the metal. It is not enough to protect it against moisture. So if the car is transported it needs to be keep dry and not exposed to any moisture. I can spray the body with a light film of primer if necessary for an additional $100.00. Body is very straight never in any accident and none of the floor boards or panels have ever been replaced as found on many Mustangs of this year. I also have as pictured 95% of the parts and hardware for this car, some new, some original restored and unrestored original parts. The parts are rust free also and for the most part need cleaned up. Some of the chrome parts do need new chrome or replaced. The car has a little over 100,000 miles on it and the stock 289 4V engine was rebuilt about 35,000 miles ago. Complete running engine with all the original parts, numbers match up to the car. The intake and exhaust manifolds need to be installed. This car came with a 3 speed top loader manual transmission in great condition with original shifter which after checking found that very few cars were produced with this option. All the glass is included and in very good shape except for the wind shield which is fair. The black interior contains head liner, dash pad, original bucket seats and rear fold down seat already upholstered with new door panels and rug for the fold rear seat section. New front kick panels and new glove compartment box included. Stock working radio with radio dash repair panel installed. Original front disk brakes and drum rear brakes. Like most of the Mustangs found today that have been modified in some manner this car is bone stock. The fender edges have been professionally rolled for tire clearance and retain the stock appearance. You get all the parts to make it a factory production car. The original paint color was Prairie Bronze with all black standard interior. Hardware, nuts and bolts are included for the parts. This car does not contain back up lights or any GT or Pony accessories. I have pictured a 1966 grill which is not correct, I do have the original 1965 grill honey comb version. I have the original owner’s manual to the car and original black California license plates NQP 255. Some of the items that you would need are: antenna, floor carpet and pad, exhaust pipes and mufflers, tires, rubber window seals, front bumper, rear bumper, brake pads and shoes. It will take me a little time to box up all the parts and secure them within the car for shipping.
