Conversion Story : This car is being offered with a vegetable oil conversion from True Earth Motors. This is THE highest integrity company I found to do these conversions for me. This car will run on Straight Vegetable Oil, Waste Vegetable Oil, Biodiesel, Diesel, or a combination of any of these fuels. The single tank conversions are the easiest and most efficient way to run vegetable oil in your vehicle. If you are environmentally conscious, this is the vehicle for you. This car has a neutral carbon footprint. If you would like to do something about the Gulf Oil Spill, this is it. If you are trying to save money on fuel, this is the vehicle for you. This vehicle will pay for itself in a few years in fuel savings alone if you use free WVO. If you are tired of our dependence on foreign oil imports, this vehicle is for you. Or would rather not be a part of petroleum consumption at all! This car can be run on pure vegetable oil that is domestically grown and produced. Also you can rest assured that if you would rather run on diesel, you should get 500,000 miles plus on this car on diesel or oil. Something to consider if you are looking to purchase a diesel already/getting ready to be converted: 1) Buy your converted car/system from someone with a proven track record. Someone that can explain the history of their conversion system, the history of the company, and the details of the system configuration(in laymans terms of course.) I look forward to hearing from you:) General: I had a bumper to bumper inspection done at "Hans German Auto Specialists" on the engine, transmission, and road handling in all conditions. Compression was tested between 400 and 430 in all 5 cylinders. Features: Black exterior, with Tan MB-Tex interior. 5-Cylinder, 3.0 liter, single overhead cam, Turbodiesel, 4-speed automatic transmission, power assisted 4-wheel disc brakes, automatic sunroof, A/C and heat climate control, power windows, power locking, power steering, cruise control, electrically heated rear windshield, quartz chronometer, alloy wheels, front center folding arm rest, zebrano wood dash trim and console, combed wool carpet, 2-speed windshield wiper with 5-second mist interval control, parcel nets. No rust and quiet muffler. Exterior Condition: The paint and clear coat are gorgeous, with some imperfections that are common to an original paint look. Pinstripe is on side. The exterior rubber and chrome are all in good condition. All the glass is in great shape and the emblems are shiny and in excellent condition. The "TURBO DIESEL" emblem has a bend in it, so I included another one in the trunk (I can install this for you before shipping). The front grill is in good condition. It has 2 bent cross members, which I will replace before shipping. All trim is in place and in good condition. There is no rust of any kind on this vehicle. There are some small sap spots pictured on the hood, roof and trunk. There is a piece of silver plastic trim around the drivers mirror knob, and it is stained. I included and pictured a replacement piece, that I am sending along. Interior Condition: The Mb Tex is in overall excellent condition. The seats are firm and comfortable. The springs in the seats are good, and there are no tears in material. There are a few broken stitches on top of the rear seat. This fine veggie mobile features "Authentic" sheepskin covers on the front seats. These were made especially for Mercedes and are of the highest quality. If you have never had the privilege of pampering yourself with sheepskin, don't wait any longer. This seat is so comfortable to sit in, you will NOT want to arrive at your destination! Think I'm kidding? You'll see:) They are very expensive too. The dash is in excellent shape with only a couple tiny cracks. This rare vehicle has a custom "BLACK" headliner, MIGHT even be a "one of a kind". The door panels are in great shape as you can see in the photos. The instrument panel and center console are in excellent condition. Overall the interior impression on this car is excellent and it is quite comfortable and well appointed. Non smoking car. Non pet hair car. The seats and springs are nice and firm and comfortable as is. Mechanical Condition: Mechanically this car is very sound. The transmission shifts normally in all gears. The engine in this car performs nicely with good power and torque. It is a Turbodiesel model and it accelerates well through all gears. There are no leaks in the exhaust and it is smooth running at all speeds. Passing gear works well. This car goes 0-60 very quickly and has minimum blowby. The brakes are strong with new brake pads. Tires have excellent tread. This car has many years of trouble free motoring to come. I would feel confident in this vehicle on a long road trip in its excellent condition. Engine and transmission have no leaks. Accessories Condition: All power windows are working properly. The sunroof functions properly and is smooth and strong. Radio is not working. Lights all work well, along with turn signals, head lights, high beams, fog lights, brake lights, parking lights, reverse lights, etc. A/C, cruise, clock, hazards, dome light, and power locks all working. Comes with excellent spare and jack. Vegetable Oil Conversion System Process: The conversion is based on a 2 micron filter/water separator that has a top loaded 100 watt heating element that automatically turns on when temperatures fall below 60F and turns off when the oil reaches 85F. This insures that the veg oil will flow through your filter no matter how cold it gets outside. The final heat stage comes from injector line heaters that get the fuel nice and hot quickly. These heaters will get the fuel to 170F within 3 minutes and if you turn them on before you start the car you will be insuring that hot oil is reaching the injectors right away. The switch is mounted on inside the car below the steering wheel(pictured). This will insure easy starts, even on cold mornings and also insure proper and complete burning of the oil which is critical for the health of your engine. This is considered a temperate climate single tank conversion designed for Southern California. It can be modified to work in any climactic conditions, so please ask any questions you have before bidding.
