Vehicle Detail
1971 Chevy K10 Long Bed truck I got this truck from the original owner. I have all of the receipts including the original receipt for the purchase of the truck! The original owner kept records of each and every oil change, wiper blade change, belts, you name it. The original owner's manual and factory service manuals are included! It goes without saying that the original jack and lug wrench are in place as well. You get all of the records, owner's manual, the original receipt, and a photo copy of the original title. Finding a truck with this much history attached is rare! This truck had about 148,000 miles on it when I got it. The engine was tired and was replaced with a 350 CID engine that was bored .030 over and equipped with a better cam. It is not the original engine. The intake is an Edelbrock Performer with an Edelbrock 1406 carb and MSD distributor with built in electronics. It has a new radiator and battery. A coolant recovery system was added and a new windshield washer reservoir and pump have been added as well. The exhaust system was replaced with a dual exhaust kit with Cherry Bomb mufflers. The transmission and transfer case are solid with no slippage and only a little leakage. The truck has new Goodyear Wrangler tires and chrome spoke wheels, but the original wheels go with the truck. The truck has new Rancho shocks all around. The master cylinder has been replaced and the pads and shoes are fresh. This truck has factory power brakes. I would not hesitate to drive this truck cross country. This was a farm truck so the body is in need of paint. I had started the body work and patch panels have been welded in to fix the rust, new rocker panels are in place and the cab supports have been beefed up. Finish work needs to be done to smooth the body for paint. It won't take a lot to have the truck ready for paint. The bed is rust free and solid. The window regulators work fine and the vent windows operate just as they are supposed to. It has a new windshield. Door and back glass are in good condition. All of the lights work. The headlights have been upgraded to Halogen fixtures that use H4 bulbs. The interior was the old style rubber floor mats and not much of that was left. The floor was sound deadened, repaired, and insulated before new carpet was put down. The original lap belts were replaced with brand new 3 point belts with a lap belt in the center. The original owner had, at some point, had the seat reupholstered with cloth with vinyl trim. The dash pad has been replaced. All of the gauges are functional and the heater controls work but are worn. The heater works great and will drive you out on even the coldest days. The radio was replaced with a CD player with HD radio. The truck is a kick to drive. I have taken it camping and fishing in the Colorado mountains with absolutely no problems. It handles well and sounds great. The buyer is responsible for getting the truck home. The truck could be driven across country if you were in the mood for a cool road trip.A $500 deposit is required to hold the truck. That deposit must be paid via PayPal within 24 hours of committing to buy the truck. Final payment must be made within 7 days via cash or certified funds. This is a rare find! Thanks for looking!
