PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE BIDDING! Please read ALL of my seller feedback and have full confidence bidding. Because of eBay's assinine, ridiculous, and absolutely MORONIC way to calculate feedback my feedback rating does NOT accurately reflect my history or integrity as an eBay member or seller. With over FOUR PAGES of seller feedback I only have one negative and one neutral, which should put my feedback at 99% instead of what it currently is. I only have 1 negative and 1 neutral despite selling on eBay for years; neither of which I deserved. Details at the end of the listing. Up for auction is a sweet and SUPER CLEAN 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia ("Rosa") with THOUSANDS of dollars of upgrades, most of them from www.gowesty.com. This is a great running and great looking van that has been gently and lovingly used, has close to $10,000 in upgrades, and has been meticulously maintained. If you're looking for a turn key one-of-a-kind Westy that's unique, in fantasic shape, and ready for road trips and camping then look no more.... YOU'VE FOUND IT! I don't know why the car report rated it with an 11, because it's got low miles, has never been in an accident, no title issues, and is in outstanding condition. Plenty of pictures and a video so you can see and judge the condition for yourself. Here are the specs: No smog equipment which greatly increases power, torque, and mileage. Being 26 years old it's smog exempt! Fuel injection Heads rebuilt 5500 miles ago Strong clutch All hoses, gaskets, and seals recently replaced on gas tank K&N air filter New main battery GoWesty super stout bumpers Lower half of exterior has been rhino lined Interior floor has been rhino lined Custom retro looking rubber matting on the entire interior floor The interior woodwork (cabinets, etc.) is in like-new condition Gowesty alloy wheels Almost new Michelin hydroedge tyres Blistein shocks Gowesty headlight kit New stereo and speakers Secondary accessory battery No fridge, but stove works really well Gowesty rear shoulder belt kit Swivel front seats Removable table that can be placed in two different places within the camper Tinted windows New canvas Rear hatch screen Awning included, but brackets are missing (holes have been plugged with silicone, as you can see in the pictures) Saris Bones RS bike rack Yakima roof rack and fairing Maintenece records for the past 4-5 years, including receipts for the upgrades Factory repair manual and Haynes repair manual included The van runs very, very well and is comfortable on long trips. The only issue is that it has a mild surging at idle, but does not do it above idle (as you can see in the video). It has been inspected by both a VW certified mechanic and a Mercedes Benz certified mechanic and they found nothing wrong other than the idling quirk. I've included almost 70 pictures so you can see EXACTLY what you're bidding on. The body is in good condition without dents or rust. The rear hatch appears to have been resprayed at some point in it's life for some reason, but other than a couple of minor little dents and dings (fewer than to be expected for a 26 year old car) the body is in above average condition and the paint is smooth and glossy. Other than the minor rub spot on the driver seat (shown in the pictures) the interior is in great shape, but the fabric could use a cleaning. If you use buy it now the interior will be professionally steam cleaned, sanitized, and have soil retardant applied before you pick it up. I am selling this van for my friend, so please call Ian (the owner) at 254.644.2031 with any questions you have and he will be happy to answer any questions you have. This van is being sold "AS IS - WHERE IS"; and although it is in great shape with lots of pictures and a video please do not assume anything and ask any and all questions BEFORE you bid. I post plenty of pictures and descriptions of the items I sell because I want you to be happy and satisfied with your purchase. Also, because of issues I have had in the past, if you have not inspected this vehicle in person you agree to unconditionally leave positive feedback regarding the condition of the vehicle. Keep in mind this is a 26 year old vehicle, but it is in outstanding condition. Please understand I just have to protect myself from people who expect things that aren't listed or promised in the auction. A $500 deposit MUST be paid within 24 hours of auction close unless you contact me and make alternate arrangements. Remainder MUST be paid in cash upon picking up the vehicle. Lastly, because of problems I have had in the past as a seller it must be plainly stated that by bidding on this auction you agree to be bound by ALL the terms and conditions set forth in this auction. I'm happy to work with you regarding storage of the vehicle if you cannot pick it up within 7 days after the auction ends. However, although I can provide free storage for the vehicle for a few weeks after the auction closes the van MUST be paid for within 7 after the auction ends. As I mentioned above, eBay's feedback rating system is retarded and doesn't often accurately reflect the seller's history. My one and only negative as a seller came from a buyer who did not understand plain English in the listing which said very clearly shipping was free ONLY with buy it now; and that the backup MAC OSX disc would ONLY be included if I came across it. He refused to pay shipping until I pointed out that the FIRST line in the listing (in bold, by the way) stated that shipping was free only with buy it now and that no disc was promised in the listing. Well, he paid the shipping but then tried to extort money, software, and a laptop hard drive from me by saying if I sent these things he wouldn't leave negative feedback; and if all that weren't enough he filed a fruad claim with eBay. He did this through the eBay messaging system. But after the eBay conflict resolution representative simply read the listing and all of the messages he sent to me they found in my favor and dismissed the claim immediately because they said the listing was very clear on shipping and what was included in the auction. However, because of eBay's equally brainless and buyer biased policy regarding feedback they would not remove his feedback. Let me repeat that... eBay found in MY favor, said it was clear he was trying to extort stuff from me, and said he had no reason to leave negative feedback because the listing was blatantly clear to even a first grader because the shipping terms were clear and he got EXACTLY what was listed. Yet they refused to delete his negative feedback!!! The neutral came from an eBay newbie making her FIRST transaction by buying a Macbook from me. Despite tons of pictures and explicit descriptions of the very well known spider cracking issue of the case, when she got the laptop she claimed it was damaged more than was disclosed in the listing. When I contacted her about it after she left the feedback she said she didn't know what "spider cracking" was, but refused to alter her feedback when she admitted that had she known what was being referred to in the pics and listing she would have left postive feedback because the defect was clearly described and shown with multiple pictures in the listing. I'm sharing this because I want you to be confident in bidding on this item and happy with what you get. Thanks!
