I have for sale my 1987 Honda ATC 2000X restoration project. I bought this machine new and am the original owner. I was going to take this machine to like floor room condition but have lost interest. The machine has always started right up and runs like a top. The engine has recently been completely overhauled with a new heavy duty clutch and new kick starter. A new heat shield was also added to the header pipe. The engine is broke in and screams like a new one. It does not leak or burn any oil and transmission shifts smoothly up and down. It needs brakes and would have been my next step in the resto. It rides on 400EX radials with 75% tread on the back and about 50% tread on the bias ply front. It has newer sprockets and chain. The gas tank is dent free and the minor scratches and rust is all surface which will make it easy to refurbish. The plastic was replaced with the hard to fit maier plastic years ago and can be again and if you hurry a factory seat with a original 87 200x cover is available from Honda along with the factory fork boots.It will need new wheel bearings, swing arm bearings, and a new parking brake cable along with the new brakes I mentioned above. Its just piddly stuff and I see those items plus a whole bunch more good stuff for this ATC listed right her on E-bay. There are no cracks, breaks, or welds on the frame or anywhere on machine and the engine skid plate is in very good condition. The headlight works-both high and low beam and so does the tail light. The keyed ignition works as does the emergency kill switch. Very nice 87 200X project and I hope you folks bid on this because it would be a shame to have to part this machine out when you have so much to start with.
