Vehicle Detail
1971 Ventura with 250 6 cylinder, 3-speed on the column, manual steering and manual brakes. A very straight 1971 Pontiac Ventura that I bought from the son of the original owner which was his mother. He told me that she bought the car brand new here in Oklahoma and she always parked away from other cars and changed oil religiously. She got too old to drive the Ventura, parked it and rode around places with a friend. The son never drove the car after she parked it eight years ago. I bought it to restore but don't have the time to do it now. The car runs, drives and stops but you have to pump the brakes. the car is runnig off a gas can under the hood since I have not cleaned the original gas tank. It has 117k actual miles and the engine runs strong with no smoke. The car does have some rust but the car has alot of good about it. It is very original even down to the radiator hoses and clamps. The inner and outer rockers, floor braces, unit frame construction and core support areas are solid as can be. The doors open and shut nice. The trunk lid lock is missing and I only have the ignition key. I have the good clear title to it. Tag is good til Apr 2011. This is a no reserve auction. Sells as is. The car can be shipped to CA and other western states for $500.00. Thanks and good luck >On Sep-04-10 at 17:33:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is what the car could look like with mag wheels. Mag wheels not included. Car also needs exhaust system replaced. On Sep-05-10 at 14:03:56 PDT, seller added the following information: There is rust out areas around the windshield and back window. the trunk lip area looks good but showing dirt. On Sep-06-10 at 12:06:08 PDT, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ: Here are more pics of the dash around vin# . VIN# is easily readable and all dash to windshield areas look good and solid. I did mention earlier that there is some perforated rust along few areas of the front and rear glass trim. It is very hard to see unless you are very close up on it. This is common if you are going to do a restoration but in my opinion, this is a very good car to restore. Please review the whole auction over and over again and look at all the pictures that I provided on here and you will probably sum this car up to being a good one to do. Most unrestored cars listed on here don't show pictures as detailed as I do. The reason for this is that most people are afraid to show close up areas especially on the type of car that I have here.
