Vehicle Detail
This is a beautiful, never restored, all original (except seat), GL1000. Everything works, no leaks or mechanical problems. Runs very well and it is ridden about twice a month. I bought this for a restoration project because it was so nice but my love is vintage motocross bikes. My site is www.motomanrules.com for an example of what I like to do. I have been riding this bike because it is so sweet, but I am involved in restoring three motocross bikes now and probably will not get around to doing this one. This bike has NEVER be down (even softly). No scratches, dents, or divits anywhere on the body or chrome. Look closely at the pics of the fenders and engine heads and you will not see a scratch. The odometer died at 54K miles and I estimate I have put less than 2k on it. I wish I could find a motocross bike in something even CLOSE to this condition! Please, if you don't know the potential in this piece of motorcycle history, don't waste time bidding. I have placed a reasonably low reserve on the bike but I will not be giving it away. If you have questions please call Pat at 520-663-1058 or 520-991-7454. Please try to limit your questions to technical and logistical questions. I honor the eBay system and will not negotiate off-line. I will consider trades for interesting motocross bikes. On Sep-05-10 at 10:24:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I have just lowered the Reserve Price to $1,126. I would have removed it entirely but eBay won't let you do that after a bid has been placed. Also, I would have listed it this way in the first place if I could have convinced my wife that I really didn't have a "gold mine" of an antique treasure. Frankly, I'd just like to get out of it what I paid for it, which is the Buy-It-Now price. You guys understand, I'm sure.
