1999 Hummer H1 4WD 4 passenger hard top powered by an 8 cylinder 6.5 liter turbo diesel engine with only 68,000 miles. This is a straight truck and in overall very good condition. As most Hummer enthusiasts know, the Hummer H1 is a civilian off road vehicle based on the M998 high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee), which was created by AM General. This vehicle was produced from 1992 through 2006, and was the first of what became the Hummer line. It was initially known only as the "Hummer," however in 1999 in a joint venture between General Motors and AM General, GM began marketing the Hummer H2, which was built on a GM SUV chassis. It was at this point the original Hummer was given the H1 designation. There is no comparison between the original H1 and the H2. In fact, the H2 compares closer to a mini van than it does to the original Humvee. This is not a "soccer mom" SUV. It is a wide, large, rugged, durable, tuff street legal utility vehicle designed for extreme on and off road conditions. You can drive it 80 mph down the highway, but if that's all you use it for, you will never really understand the full capability of this incredibly designed powerful truck. Having said all of that, following is a list of upgrades and accessories which have been added to this truck: Pioneer 6 CD changer, Pioneer stereo with CD and bluetooth, upgraded side mirrors, upgraded brush guard with 4 PIAA lights and stone guards, upgraded exhaust by Predator, upgraded aluminum window/door lock swith housings on both doors, upgraded MOMO steering wheel, upgraded "Bully" brake/gas pedals. Finally one very important feature is the original CTIS rims that can be aired up or down from inside the cab. The rear tires are new and the front tires are like new with lots of remaining tread wear (and all 4 tires do match). There are a couple of minor flaws I want to point out in the interest of full disclosure and they do show up in the photos: Windshield has small rock chip on driver's side, right front fender has small hairline crack, and the outer vent/shield on the right rear of the vehicle is missing some paint. Other than that, this vehicle is located in sunny Hobbs, NM which is a very arid climate and you don't have to worry about rusting.
