Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a super clean1989 Honda NX250. This is a rare European design Honda "Supermoto" style bike. It was marketed in the USA in 1988, 1989, and 1990 only. It was suppose to be a replacement for the XL250 type machines but did not appeal to the US off-road crowd. In reality, with the excellent Dunlop street tires I installed, it is a killer lightweight urban streetfighter type bike that is fun to ride! This bike has 17K on it of which I put 15K on since I bought it from the original owner in 1995. I have kept it indoors in a heated and air conditioned space and have personally maintained it in perfect condition. Items such as tires, chain, sprockets, steering bearings, battery, lubes, filters, brakes, grips and bulbs have been replaced as needed and are either new, or near new condition. This is NOT a restored bike! The bike is perfect mechanically, just completely serviced, all fluids changed (synthetic engine oil, fork oil, brake fluid, coolant), and is super clean as the pictures show. The only known defect(s) are a couple plastic tabs broken were the RH side fairing meets the front fairing, producing a slight gap (see picture of headlamp), also the left side of the cargo box has a few scratches on it that are not very noticable. The box was on my scooter when it got scratched. This bike has never been down since I have owned it (15 years). This bike is light and low, with easy, smooth controls and power curve. Perfect for a beginer or shorter person. I have added a few accessories to the bike such as a LOUD siren tied to the horn circuit, an extra helmet lock, the cargo box, and the Acerbis front fender to make the bike look "right" IMHO. Everything shown is included such as owner's and service manuals, tool kit, service records, road test article, sales literature, Shoei helmet, removable locking cargo trunk, two helmet locks, spare parts such as the original engine skid plate, etc. I am providing a clear Missouri title with the bike. Again, this bike needs NOTHING and would be hard to tell from a new bike. The engine is tight and uses no oil or coolant. The bike tops out about 90 MPH and will get you about 65 MPG. It carries two people, has electric start and a liquid cooled engine. I love this bike, but Moma says I have to sell it to get my new Ducati HyperMotard!
