Vehicle Detail

First of all, please check my feedback. You will not buy from a more respected, more honest Ebayer. This is my personal daily rider. I am the third owner. It was originally purchased from Engel Cycle in Kansas City. The bike was a bit dirty from riding in the photos, my apologies. I have photos with the original quarter fairing and tail cowl installed, as well as removed which is what I preferred. This bike has never been wrecked. It has had a few minor modifications, all of which are reversible. Nothing on the bike has been permanently modified. The bike is all stock except for the following: - Air injection system properly eliminated. - Predator flat black high performance, high flow exhaust with correct carb rejetting. - Ikon rear shocks upgraded over the stock rear shocks.- Clipon handlebars converted to standard handlebars with a $300 kit that included a new billet aluminum top triple clamp, and anodized aluminum handlebars. Any 7/8" handlebar will work with this setup.- Rear fender eliminator kit, but I do still have the stock rear fender and chain guard that could be reinstalled.- Pingle premium petcock. - K&N air filters. - Header Tape over the stock chrome head pipes.- Front fender painted black- Headlight and ears painted black. I prefer local pickup on this bike, but, I am willing to ship if the buyer arranges everything and all I have to do is help load the bike on a transporter in my driveway. Also, full payment is due within 72 hours of the close of this auction unless you contact me first and approve an alternative payment plan. If you cannot meet this demand, do not bid on this bike. Thank you! I have a couple of videos of the bike if you'd like to cut and paste the links below into your browser. Thanks. http://s1044.photobucket.com/albums/b449/rexdaddy/?action=view¤t=video-2010-08-26-12-00-01.mp4 http://s1044.photobucket.com/albums/b449/rexdaddy/?action=view¤t=video-2010-08-26-11-58-50.mp4On Aug-27-10 at 06:40:09 PDT, seller added the following information: I also wanted to add that I just changed the oil and filter and adjusted the chain. This bike is ready to ride home, even if it's across the country. It pulls very hard from 2,000 rpms on up. It will top 120 mph, yes I have done it, and it loves to be short shifter. Gobs of torque in this engine. The pipes and jetting helped open up the top end so now it pulls harder on top than it did stock. I have priced the bike more than fair. If you search on completed auctions for Thruxtons, you won't find one having sold for less than $5,000. I got a great deal on it and am just passing it on. Only selling the bike because I'm finishing up a restoration on my 1963 Triumph Thunderbird and plan on riding it from now on. I have always been into vintage Triumphs, and have owned dozens of unit and pre-unit Triumphs. The new Triumphs, however, are hard to beat for daily riders, push button start, strong running engines with the right exhaust note, low maintenance, reliable, they look right, feel right and sound right, even to old Triumph nuts like me!
