Vehicle Detail

With great sadness I am putting up my '72 911T for sale. I've invested over $30k on this 911T and the successful bidder will get a great deal. It is a good, all around driver. This '72T has a lot of potential....it could be finished to an RS or RSR clone, or kept as is to be a high horsepower, lightweight stealth. There is very little rust and only surface rust, nothing structural. I wouldn't have invested over $20k on the engine, exhaust, and swap if the tub/chassis wasn't sound. If you want a show piece, you can continue where I stopped, namely to repaint, spuce up interior, new fuchs, suspension, etc. I would have liked to have kept this 911T for my son who is 6 years old now. By the time he would be mature enough to drive and appreciate this car, it would have been ready for him. Rare 1972 Porsche 911T Coupe with professionally installed 3.6L!!!! Everything else is pretty much stock (i.e. brakes, 15" fuchs, interior, etc.) Have receipts for the engine, the 3.6L installation kit, and the installation. Please email for more information and to get the link to more pictures. The odometer reads 20,000 miles but I have only put on less than 1000 miles since the swap. The 3.6L is from a 1994 964 engine. The following is a quote from the email I received from the seller of the 3.6L engine: I bought the car w/103k and it now has 125k. Never had any problems. I had no worries buying a high mileage 3.6, especially w/the tip and especially after getting to know the owner. Of course the PPI brought back clean bill of health. Anyway, owner #2 worked for Prudential, lived in Riverside and drove car to his offices in San Diego and Torrance...he put all the miles on it...parked in underground parking w/car cover! He also had a good history for owner #1 who lived here in LA. Car originally sold new in San Diego. I tried getting him down on the price and he wouldn‚t budge...I know how he feels as I put the car up for sale and wouldn‚t take a dime less that what I wanted. Ultimate factor to do the engine swap was that I can‚t find another car this nice. Anyway, I do the valves every 10k oil every 3k or sooner and am very meticulous about general service...if it needs to be replaced....it gets replaced. I even replaced the distributor belt drive when I bought the car...just because it had 100k on it. I didn‚t want a tip car when I purchased it, but it was in such incredible shape and so well documented that I couldn‚t say „no‰. It's been garage kept ever since moving here from South Carolina. The car has never seen the harsh, salty roads of Chicago winters. The original, matching 2.4T MFI engine was sold to help finance the 3.6 swap. Update: 8/21/2010 The 911T seems to have developed a slight oil leak(spots on the floor).
