1996 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie SLT 4X4 Pick Up Regular Cab Short Bed Truck 132,844 Miles Get ready for winter! Priced to sell! This auction is for a mechanically sound, aggresive, Second Generation, 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 Regular Cab Short Bed 4X4 pick-up truck ready for work or play. The color is Aqua Pearl. This truck has been owned by me since March 2001. It has served me well but I just don't use in much now. It has ~132,844 miles presently and runs very well. Oil changes every 3k to 5k miles. As can be seen in the photos the top of the hood and roof has blemished paint (common mid-90s Dodge issue). There are a few small areas of rust on the body (see photos below). The doors are NOT rusted as they were replaced a few years ago with newer (2001) doors. This truck is equipped with a 318 cu in engine and automatic transmission with a TransGO shift kit. It runs and shifts very well. The AC works great! Nice and COLD! This truck has 4.10 gears professionally installed, (job done about 2004 when I used to tow a small camper). The front AND rear diffs have the correct gears, carriers and seals. The rear has a Sure-Grip carrier. The original 3.55 gears and carriers go with the sale. U-joints in front axle are brand new. 4X4 works. The high rise cap is by Jeraco. Window lift gas springs in great condition. Tires are 285-75-16s (33"s) on Mickey Thomson Classic II 16 x 8 aluminum wheels. Tires are in excellect condition (see photos) with near new tread depth. The speedometer is correctly calibrated and accurate to the tire size and gear ratio. The steering box is PSC with a Solid Steel brand pitman arm support turned by a Borgeson steering shaft. This truck also has Mag Hitech rear end cover and transmission pan. Front and Rear 2" receiver hitches. The radio is the stock Chrysler AM-FM-Cassette unit. The beige box near the trailer plug is a relay logic block for the 3rd brake light in the cap. Please see over 30 images below for a visual presentation of this vehicle.
