Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a Saab 9-2X AWD hatchback - Midnight black exterior with black/tan leather interior. This is a great sports wagon; responsive and fun to drive, with plenty of space for cargo and family trips, and great safety features. This car was purchased loaded with extras from the factory, including the Premium package with Xenon HID headlights, foglights, leather seating, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, vinyl door cards, and premium sound system), the moonroof option, and heated driver and passenger seats. Several additions have been made to the car to augment the driving experience, including a premium in-dash navigation system that blends in so well with the look of the car you'd swear it was a stock option. There is NO RESERVE on this auction; high bidder wins the car. Call Patrick at 908-809-5610 to schedule a test drive or look at the car. I have been the sole owner of the vehicle, and have performed all the required and recommended service at the Saab Dealership (First Paul Miller Saab in Edison, and then JMK Saab in Springfield after Paul Miller closed). The car is in great condition, and this auction includes all the original accessories and manuals, including the rear cargo privacy screen, jacks, etc and custom-fit front windscreen sun protector. I recently replaced the windshield due to a crack that was developing, so the windshield is brand new and free of *any* blemishes or scratches. The car is currently outfitted with 2 Continental ContiProContact tires on the rear wheels, with ~40,000 miles of wear, and 2 Premium Cooper CS4 Touring tires on the front, with ~30,000 of wear. Both tires have plenty of tread remaining. AC runs nice and cool. It comes with the following addons/extras: 1> Premium Pioneer AVIC-D1 Navigation and Sound system, including both the XM radio and realtime traffic navigation unit and iPod interface unit. The XM antenna is mounted externally above the front windshield, and the GPS antenna is routed above the dashboard in the passenger compartment. The 2008 navigation DVDs for the United States are included; newer discs can be purchased through the pioneer web site. XM Radio requires a monthly subscription fee to operate, plus an additional fee for realtime traffic information. The unit also receives regular FM radio signals via the antenna built into the rear windshield. 2> AUX audio in cable and dedicated iPod input cable routed through the center storage compartment in the central handrest. Play your ipod or other MP3 device while driving with ease; Using the iPod connector, you can even use the touchpad on the AVIC-D1 interface to control your ipod and search for songs by artist, playlist, genre, etc, and you can even leave them stowed securely in the compartment when not in use. 3> Audio/video cables routed to the rear spare tire compartment; these can be used to connect a rear backup camera or an in-car entertainment system. I had a DVD player installed for a while but missed the extra space it occupied in the rear (I had to move the spare tire out of the compartment in order to fit everything). 4> OEM rear passenger cupholders installed in the rear of the center storage compartment; not sure why these wren't included as a standard option to be honest; a must-have when carpooling or driving the family around, they rotate away into the body of the handrest when not in use. 5> Heated leather seats with two temperature settings for both driver and front passenger seats. Great for winter driving in the cold mornings. 6> Sliding/tilting moonroof with sliding opaque cover. Great for summer cruising with the windows down. 7> Keyless entry system with alarm and two Key Fob remotes, including a panic button to manually initiate the car alarm. 8> Lojack early warning system installed with two security Fobs. (If the car begins to move and a security fob is not present, LoJack will call/text/email you and alert you; the car can also be tracked via the lojack system if stolen. I will provide the lojack card w/ all the information and lojack registration numbers, as well as login information for the lojack site to transfer ownership of the lojack system and update alerts to your phone numbers. It also has the following quirks to be aware of: 1> The plastic housing covering the rear interior light is missing; the light itself works perfectly, it's simply missing the plastic cover; it slipped off at one point and got lost, and I just never bothered ordering a replacement; I've included pics of the light. 2> The two plastic button placeholders near the front cup-holders are missing. I have a tendency of fiddling with them and managed to lose both. These aren't the switches themselves, merely placeholder pieces of plastic where optional switches would be installed. Pic is included. 3> The "door ajar" light on the front dashboard will occasionally illuminate even when all the doors are securely closed in the vehicle. This does not affect the functionality of the interior lights or the alarm system, which only go off when a door is actually opened; only the dashboard indicator turns on. Money Order, cashiers check, or cash ONLY. No personal checks please. _gsrx_vers_417 (GS 6.0.5 (417)) On Aug-22-10 at 17:56:27 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE: I listed the incorrect phone number above; please call 908-809-5612 for a test drive or to see the car. The above is my brother, and he'll pass along a message, but obviously you'll reach me faster at the updated number. Sorry for the inconvenience. On Aug-24-10 at 14:29:45 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: Please note that this car is from a completely smoke free environment. Also I've uploaded a few more pics as there is some small cosmetic damage that isn't so easy to spot on the existing pics. Pics, in order, are a close up of the VIN number, a close up of a small scratch on the hood, with dollar bill for size reference, followed by a wide shot for perspective, a close up of a scratch on the passenger dashboard area with dollar for size reference, plus another wide shot for perspective, and two closeups of the passenger side AC vent, where some of the silver paint has started to come off of the plastic (it looks like little speckles or spots of a different color around the vent area)
