I SELL WORLDWIDE! 2000 JAGUAR S-Type 4.0 FOR YOUR INFORMATION: This car belonged to a customer who just spent $4000.00 on updates & repairs! If you are looking at any of these V8 powered cars, make sure these upgrades were done! Otherwise, you could be in for a very rude (expensive) awakening! With the exception of the (early) timing chain tensioner issue, these engines are extremely reliable and I've seen examples with close to 300k/mls, still runnung great. TITLE INFORMATION: clear, lien free PA title in hand! THE BACKGROUND: As mentioned above, this car belonged to a customer who broke a timing chain tensioner, a very common occurrence with the earlier Jaguar V8 engine. The problem was the (plastic) material these were made from. In 2004, Jaguar solved the problem by introducing all-aluminum tensioners. The car on hand has just been upgraded to those. Furthermore, the timing chains and guides have been replaced and the cylinder heads and valves received a full overhaul. The engines cylinders were checked and there was no measurable wear to be found. At this time, all fluids were replaced and new spark plugs installed, the front brakes were replaced and so were the tires. Finally, she received a full 4 wheel alignment. The total cost of this work way over $4000.00 and we have the receipts for it! THE CONDITION: This car runs and drives extremely strong and comes with every feature offered in the S-Type in 2000. The car has 4 new tires (less than 1000 miles), a great AM/FM/Tape stereo, sunroof, power windows, leather power seats w/memory, dual zone heat & A/C, cruise, ABS, Automatic Traction control (a really great thing if you plan to drive in snow!), automatically darkening rearview mirror, cruise and audio controls in the steering wheel, etc, etc..... Also, there is a fully powered steering column with memory. A full size spare tire is another welcome feature. The battery is an INTERSTATE that is only a year old. She's been always garaged, was rarely driven in winter and maintainance was done as per Jaguar recommendations. The paint and interior are in near perfect condition, there are no rips or tears in the seats, carpets or head liner. Everything works & functions as it should. We have a second set of keys and alarm pad as well as the owners manual. TBody and undercarriage are absolutely rustfree and the exhaust system is perfect as well. All suspension parts are checked and there is no play beyond manufacturers specs anywere. All joints are in great condition, car goes straight down the road and doesn't pull, with or witout brakes applied. After checking very carefully, we found no signs of any body damage ever! The body is perfectly straight, there are no dings or dents and the metalic blue (saphire) paint is perfectly shiny. The interior closely matches the exterior: no rips, no tears, no stains! Rear seats, door panels and center console are like new, the front seats show a little wear. No cracks in any of the plastic parts as often seen on southern cars. Clean carpets and a large spotless trunk roud of the great shape this car is in. Since the saying goes, 'a picture tells more than a thousand words', I've included over a lot of them!
