For sale is a beautiful 2001 VW Jetta GLS TDI. This car will get you 45-50 MPG. Engine has low miles for a Diesel engine. The exterior of the car is in good shape. No major scratches or dents. No rust. The car was in one accident which required the bumper to be replaced. The work was completed on this and there are no visible signs of the repair and this does not affect the appearance or operation of the vehicle. The hood does have some sun fading to the paint and the mirrors have sun fading on the tops of the mirrors. There are some scratches on the back of the trunk. The interior is in great shape. Heated leather seats, No rips, tears or holes. Never been smoked in. Carpets are clean and no major stains. The only issue with the interior is the driver’s side door panel. The clips on the door panel came out and caused the door panel to come off and crack. The door panel was then bolted on to avoid further damage. The area where the controls are also has some peeling on the paint. The damage to the door panel is cosmetic only. A new door panel would resolve all of these cosmetic issues. All of the electrical components in the door function correctly (power door locks, gas door, trunk release, power windows, power mirrors). I recently had the car inspected by the dealership. The A/C had recently stopped blowing cold air. I took it to the dealership and they replaced the expansion valve and hoses. However, then the compressor went out. The car requires a new A/C compressor. The car also requires a new hood strut. Occasionally the oil light will come on for a few seconds and then go off. I had this inspected several times and there have never been any issues with the oil or any of the components. It was eventually determined that it needs an oil level sensor. All other mechanical parts in the car checked out good with the dealership. This car has many great upgrades: heated leather seats, sunroof, monsoon premium sound system, 6 CD changer. I can confirm the car has been maintenanced regularly and always used synthetic oil. The reason I'm selling the vehicle is my Grandfather passed away in December and I was given his car. Since he loved the car so do I so I'm keeping that car instead. I do not have a need for two vehicles, which is why I am selling my Jetta. I will miss the Diesel Engine though.
