Hi, I am selling my 1982 Toyota Diesel truck. It is 2 wheel drive and is in excellent mechanical condition. The mileage is 245k highway miles. The body of the truck does have a few cosmetic issues including a few rust spots and dents. They would be easy to fix though and the next owner could turn this truck into a collector's vehicle if they wanted to. Toyota dabbled into the diesel market in the U.S. after the 1973 oil embargo to try and produce more fuel efficient vehicles. A few hundred diesel trucks were built and imported into the U.S. in the early 1980's and you are looking at one of them. Most of the few hundred that were built have since been scrapped do to rust. This truck has spent its entire life in California and Arizona. In California diesel trucks are exempt from emissions. I will deliver this truck to L.A. for no charge. The best part about this truck is that it gets 25 mpg! For recent maintenance I have had the brake pads, timing belt, water pump, pulley's, power steering pump, batteries, and tires replaced. I have many spare parts that will be included with the truck. I have an AC compressor, drive belts, brake pads, fuel pump and etc. The engine is the original 4 cylinder and the best thing that I have enjoyed about this truck is its reliability! It never fails to amaze me that you can go on vacation for 3 weeks and it will always start up on the first try. I have driven it to Texas and back before without a problem. It has a Kenwood CD player with removable face plate. The tires have 80% tread left. I have sold cars and motorcycles in the past on ebay. Serious buyers only please!
