With the latest inspection we found out that the transmission needs a service. And it does have a problem with the a/c compressor, three coils are about to go. To do the full service this will cost you around $2000-$2500. So it will be an good buy for someone who is an handymen and can fix it himself or if you can use the parts. It does have 4 nearly new tyres and the brakes are nearly new. Hopefully it will help all of you. There's no detailed report from the inspector. The coils referred to are indeed the ignition coils (what other coils are there???). I don't know exactly what's wrong with the transmission, it apparently drops down to second and revs highly at inappropriate times. I dunno if that's what you define as "slipping" or not. The mechanics advice is that it doesn't need to be replaced but needs a full service, as in it's a bigger deal than just topping up the fluid.
