2001 Ford Taurus SES 3.0L V-6 OHC 118,500 miles I have full carfax for this car and it has no record of ever being involved in any accident and no major repairs. Original owner owned it thru 114K, shows 4 owners, owner #2 and #4 were carlots and I am #5. So really it is a 3 owner car. Clean carfax. The exterior is in excellent shape, no rust and only 2 dents/scrapes on drivers side that you can see in the pictures. There was some rust around the passenger side rear wheel and has been fixed...but not professionally from what I can tell. Looks ok though, from 8 feet away you cant see it and color matches well. You can barely see in one of the pictures. The paint looks great, no peeling or fading at all. The interior is in absolutely excellent shape, looks new...no riops, no burns, no tears, no stains, etc. Carpet, cloth seats in excellent condition, all stock floor mats are there. -Heat, A/C, blower works on all speeds and blower works in all functions, defrost, floor, panel, etc. -Multi CD player, sounds great. -Power windows, all work great. -Power locks, all work great. -Power seats, power mirrors, all work great. -Arm rest with hidden console. -The hood release cable is there and works fine but the actual handle is mia, there is a steel piece on teh end of the cable that we grab to open if needed. Motor and tranny are solid, no leaks underneath at all! Starts right up, runs smooth and quiet, shifts fine, idols fine. Just replaced some front end parts, both springs in front are brand new and replaced by a Ford dealer, Rack and Pinion also just replaced by same Ford dealer mechanic, preofessionally. $600.00 in these items in last few weeks. Does need a couple things... -Needs a set of tires, 2 are worn pretty bad, still hold air and driveable but need to be replaced soon, the other 2 are probably 30% left, also need an allignment when you get tires, pretty typical any ways but with just doing the front end work it definitely can use the allignment but best to do when tires are done. -Hood release cable/handle repaired -The back sits a little low...after I replaced the front end springs the front end kind of raised up with nice new stiff springs, back may need replaced soon??? Not sure, the car rides fine now, just sits a little low in the rear. Thats about it, please feel free to ask any questions about the car, I try to be as honest I can. I bought the car for my wife, we had an SUV and got rid of that but to be honest she does not like riding this low anymore after driving an SUV for years...so she is back in the SUV and this is up for sale. The speedometer is off by 10 MPH or so, kind of fluctuates. I have no idea the cause or the solution to this problem. Even when the car is sitting in idol, the speedometer reads about 10 mph...you can see it in the picture of the cluster, the car is idoling and the speed is at about 10-12 MPH. So it reads faster than you are going, could be a good thing I guess, keep you out of trouble. Sorry again for not having this on the original description, feel free to ask any ?.
