This car was taken out of service at the end of July. We are the second owner, having used the car for the last 12 years. ALSO FOR SALE IS A MATCHING 1987 CADILLAC LIMOUSINE IN ANOTHER EBAY LISTING. The car has typical wear, inside and out, for its age. The door threshhold plate is missing on the right rear door. There is an aftermarket (RadioShack) AM/FM/Cassette player, but it doesn't work. (No, we don't have the original radio). The glove compartment latch is broken, but all other interior amenities (door locks, power windows, power seat) are in working order. Stock AC & Heat are working. AC has always blown cold, but takes an annual booster charge. Outside, the tan cloth top is in good condition. The paint is faded in several places, but is not alligatored. There are some hood chips, but no parking lot dings. There is surface rust on both quarter panels, just above the wheel. There is also moderate rust under the rocker panel, under the left rear door. The loading door (in the back, where the casket loads) has NO rust or dings. The front doors and right top windshield leak in the car wash. Tires are fair. The drive train has been extremely reliable with no mechanical problems. The AC compressor is recently replaced. The windshield sustained a crack, low and centered on the glass, during an ice storm 9 years ago. It has not fogged or extended in all that time; and has always passed Pennsylvania inspection. I would keep this car, except: 1) We just purchased a newer hearse 2) We're not busy enough to keep two hearses 3) By the time it becomes an antique, I'll be too old to appreciate it.
