Vehicle Detail

RELISTED AND REASSEMBLED. Those of you that might have seen my past offering of this car remember it was previosly listed with the transmission and radiator removed, thus non running. Since it didnt sell I decided to put it back together and sell it in running condition. I installed a known good transmission and radiator and all the other bits like clutch, driveshaft, etc. The car now starts and runs and runs well. The engine sounds fine, no smoking or knocking, and has 140-150 psi of compression on a warm engine. The clutch and trans work fine, no leaks in the radiator. Obviously the previous owner felt it was track ready as it is but personally I would to do some cleaning up of wiring and such before I used it on the track, as well as a more detailed inspection of brakes, suspension, etc. The front hood still needs the previously removed, racing type pins installed, which I do not have. The picture showing all the extra parts includes alot of parts that were used to put it back together, so they are now on the car. I will include the extra transmission............................. This is a 124 Spider prepared for SCCA ITC (Improved Touring). Can also run in NASA as well as just a 'track days' car. Probally also eligible for Vintage racing, though I didnt look into it. It has an SCCA logbook showing six races, no crashes. This car came to me in a package deal, partially disassembled. As mentioned I re-installed all the missing bits to get it running. The front hood latch was converted to lock pins, which were removed. Need new ones installed. . I looked the car over pretty good so I can pass on as much info as possible. Underneath, theres no real rust or damage. No evidence of crash damage. The suspension looks to be mostly stock. The body and trim is actually very nice. No rust or any real dents, the paint is good (for a race car), the bumpers are all there and straight (the rears were painted black). Most of the chrome is very good, excellent front lamps, good taillamps, all the sidelights are very good. A lot of bits almost too good for a race car. No battle scars really. Has a front spoiler. The dashboard is mostly stock. Now for the good stuff; Its a 125BC motor, 1608. By looking at it I would guess the cylinder head is fresh. It has a 32ADFA carb, oil catch can, otherwise appears stock. The car has a Fuel Safe fuel cell, Facet electric fuel pump, master kill switch. The fully welded, SCCA approved roll cage appears to be very sturdy. Its tied into the front inner fenders abd rear shock towers. The drivers door was gutted to accept the side bars. The cage has matching logbook #'s. The doors still operate with the stock handles and latches. It also has a Safecraft fire system, Kirkey seat, M&R five point harness with quick release. The windshield is good. Has KYB shocks and lowered springs all around. I can see it needs some new suspension bushings. 205/60x13 Toyo competition tires, dont know the brand of the wheels. The parts pictured; some to reassemble it, like trans, starter, driveshaft, header pipe and exhaust, timing cover, two radiators, plus some extra bits like axles, panhard rods, extra clutch and t/o brg, new clutch cable and brake master. Thats about it. The car does not have a title, it has an SCCA logbook and you will get a bill of sale. I should mention I have raced many Fiats over the years including a 1608 Spider in ITC and that formula has great potential to be very competative in ITC. Any questions please ask. Buyer responsible for transportation. I can store the car inside for a little while. I want a $500. deposit immediately and the balence within 5 days. .....Overall I think its a very good starter package for ITC, or NASA, maybe Vinatge, or just a fun track day car. If you're seriously thinking about a race car it shouldnt take more than two minutes to realize the cost of a professionally built cage, fuel cell and fire system and a good starter car is probally more than my min bid. Thanks for looking.
