Vehicle Detail
No Reserve, priced to sell. Audi 200 TQ, five speed. Used daily, runs perfectly, drives very nice, no work needed on suspension, steering, or brakes. Tires are Bridgestone Potenzas, 50% front 60% rear. Tracks down the highway straight, and is a great highway flyer, rides solid with no noises. 139K, odometer does not work. Car feels like it does not have a ton of miles on it, and it was maintained well by an Audi Quattro Club member. I have owned for about a year. Reason I am selling is I prefer an automatic and bought a Volvo 780 Bertone Coupe. Engine: Car makes no funny noises, engine top end is quiet. The cylinder head looks very clean like it may have been replaced in the past. Spark plug tips are the ideal tan color. Does not burn oil or smoke. Does not overheat even in really hot weather, fans kick on when they are supposed to. Oil stays clean, changed about 1K ago. Turbo gets to about 1.2-1.3 bar max pressure, which I think is a little lower than spec., may not be getting full boost. The timing belt looks recent, not cracked, but I do not know when it was replaced. Exhaust looks like factory parts, possibly original, still very sound condition, extremely high quality. Slight exhaust leak possibly, cannot locate, very slight. Does not leave oil drips on driveway. Oil pressure is about 25lbs idle hot, 50lbs at 2000 rpm hot. This is well within specs for this car. I tested this manually with a professional oil pressure gauge. The one on the dash reads max pressure all the time. Transmission shifts well, linkage is not sloppy. Clutch feels very good, takes up with plenty of bite, not high in travel. I replaced the clutch master cylinder and bled system three months ago. Almost everything works including the AC, climate control and defrosts all work perfect. The sunroof and windows all work great. The cruise control and radio do not work. The ABS also does not work. There is a warning system on the dash which flashes random signs at you sometimes like the low fuel or brake pad warning signs. It does this completely randomly, and the car certainly does not need brake pads (good all around). It can be turned off, have been meaning to figure out how to disconnect it. Car has no electrical shorts and no electrical drains. The lighting all works. Has European Bosch H4 headlights I believe, not sure if a relay was added like you are supposed to but the previous owner would have done it properly. Body is solid, no rust underneath. The driver's side rear fender looks to have been repainted at one point, is not as shiny as the rest of the car, and there seems to be a small amount of rust by the trim. The car looks nice, paint is sound and original though some clear coat is coming off on the hood. Interior is near mint, leather and wood are very nice, not smoked in. Headliner is good, was starting to sag a little in back but put a few small pins in it. Newer alternator and starter, Bosch. The only issue I have had with this car was an intermittent no crank. The starter would sometimes not get power. I replaced the ignition switch and the starter. Apparently there is an anti-theft system that disables the starter, which commonly goes bad. I bypassed this with a separate starter switch: Key is used normally, set to run. Hit starter button located on console. Car starts, everytime. You can easily reattach the starter wire to the starter motor to use key to start if you can figure out how to fix the anti-theft system. This is a very nice car for winter. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. I do my best to accurately describe what I am selling. I can drop off at a shipping pick up point in the Twin Cities, but buyer will have to make arrangements. I do not see why it would not make a long trip, but I am not guaranteeing it will.
