Vehicle Detail
Rare One of 346, perfect for a 426 Hemi or Max Wedge Transplant Project. 1965 Coronet 500 Convertible. FACTORY 273 V8 CAR . I purchased this car and pulled it out of a barn in Va. with complete intentions of restoring it. Life has now changed and I will be selling most of my cars. This is a very rare Coronet 500 with a 273 V8, auto trans, Console shift, bucket seats, power top, power steering. This is one of the most Solid Mopars you will find. Underneath, Frame front and rear excellent. Floor pans are excellent except for some small holes on passenger side where carpet stayed wet. Easy patch. Trunk is very solid, some pinholes but Por 15 or Eastwood rust encapsulator would cover them. Very small rust on lower fenders, pass lower quarter just outer metal, not inner (pics will show) This car still wears its original AA1 gold poly paint. Car has dings and dents due to the elderly Gentleman that drove and loved this car way beyond the point any of us will be driving. Front fender is pushed in but very fixable. When I got the car I changed the fluids, rebuilt carb , new fuel pump, cleaned tank. This thing runs great, smooth, no noise, no overheating. The transmission slams into gears. The power top puts the frame up and down with no problems. The brakes are not working and I will not have time to fix them. I move it around using emergency brake. It stops good. The tires have no miles but are a few years old. The interior is original with floor shift, console. Console latch broken. Missing horn button. The passenger seat is from a 1965 plymouth B body belvedere, same exact seat just different upholstery but you will be doing interior anyway. Car will need top, seat covers, carpet etc, fix brakes and you could drive it as-is. I have ignition key but it does NOT work in doors and the trunk latch is broken so trunk just closes but no latch. No Trunk key. I have an original Virginia title signed by the previous owner. This would be an easy restoration. After starting this car and driving it around yard I remember how good times used to be when cars were American built Quality . If they still built cars like this old Dodge, nobody would buy new cars---thats why they dont. Needs to be paid for in 7 days , picked up in 14 days unless we agree on other terms.
