Vehicle Detail
For sale is a used Mitisubishi Montero Limited 4X4. The body is in good shape, normal dings associated with vehicles of this age, but in overall great shape. Interior is leather that is in great condition, two minor cuts in both front seats 1'' on the bottom of the side (common in this type of vehicle). This vehicle is a non-smoking SUV, that was family driven. Vehicle was running great but had a small oil leak. My daughter recently started driving it and let it run out of oil, and from the noise I heard it sounded like it spun the bearings in the lower end. I took both heads off, cleaned everything up, and put a new timing belt, new tensioner, and all new gaskets from the gasket rebuild kit. All of the leaks were gone but it still made a slight knocking noise at start up. She continued to drive it without any problems for a while. Then one night it finally made a lot more noise. So we towed it home, and now I would like to sell it as is because I just don't have the time to rebuild the lower end. The motor will turn over but it's not good for it in this condition. This is a great SUV for someone who has the know-how to fix up vehicles. You will get a nice SUV for a low price. Check out NADA for the values and you will discover that a rough trade in will net over $5,000. Running conditions and excellent trade-ins fetch from $6,000 to $12,000. Here is an opportunity to buy a great fixer-upper at a low price. Winner will be responsible for arranging pick up of vehicle. Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you may have with this vehicle. Thanks for looking at my auction and good luck bidding!!! The history report shows "accident", this was a slight scrape to the front passenger side bumper, which did no damage at all, but was reported by law, and because there was some slight damage to the other vehicle. This accident definetely has never effected or will ever effect the drivability of this Montero.
