I was planning on fully restoring this car but my van's engine threw a rod and I can't fix them both; need the van ( have 4 kids) so cougar's got to go. This car has never been in an accident to my knowledge, and it has been a great running vehicle, engine and transmission work perfectly. The kid that had it before I bought it put some emblems on it that are not supposed to be there they are cobra symbols (does not have a cobra engine in it) and an intercooled symbol (not intercooled). I guess he thought it would make him seem cooler if he did this. It has some issues which I will fully describe to the best of my knowledge. I WILL MISS THIS CAR!!! We'll start with the good. This car has within the last year had the following parts replaced with brand new (not remanufactured) pieces unless otherwise stated: All four wheel bearingsBoth inner tie rodsDrivers side half shaftWater pumpThermostatRadiatorSpark plugs and wiresDistributor cap and rotorWindshieldUpper ball joint ( can't remember which side)Replaced all but one tire they are not brand new but they have good treadInstalled locking gas cap Now for the bad news. This car still needs the following items replaced or repaired.I have some of the parts needed which will come with it for you. Car will not start. It needs either the ignition control module or the coil replaced. less than $100.00 for both at auto zone probably could be found cheaper elsewhere. Both front fenders (had them priced online at $ 75 for both new and that included shipping and primer. The drivers side definitely needs replaced it has a hole in it but the pass. side is only soft and could be put on hold)Driver's side electronic door panel needs to be remounted (it all works just keeps popping out.)Muffler and pipes ( have the muffler but not the pipes)Cd player is not fully flush and is not wired properly it will play but won't hold timeDriver's side rear tire will need to be replaced soonMinor surface rust on roofSmall hole in rear decorative area ( this is not where the tail lights are)Dents in locking gas door Will need a paint job to look really nice This vehicle is being sold as is and I have listed everything that I know is wrong with it.
