1985 Honda Nighthawk

This is a rare opportunity to have a one owner, mint condition, 1985 Black and Blue NIGHTHAWK S. These bikes were ahead of there time when new and still considered to be one of the best motorcycles ever made and its not uncommon to find them with 50, 60, 70 thousand miles. Some of its features were shaft drive, hydraulic self-adjusting lifters, digital gear display and 6 speed overdrive transmission. I got the bike from the original owner last month with the intention of making it my daily ride, but after going through everything from fluid changes, plugs and removing and rebuilding the carburetors and just tweeking it, I've decided just to throw it back in circulation. I live in Manhattan and its only a matter of time before it gets backed over, crunched or vandalized and this bike is far to nice and pure to let that happen. Like I said, its from the original owner who is currently 71 years old and babied this thing. Also, it has been garage kept since day one (all of the safety stickers are still white and crisp).. I have all the original documentation like the original bill of sale, the dealer prep sheet even the key tag with "SOLD" scribbled on it.I also have various receipts for routine maintenance. Currently it has 2165 miles on it and looks excellent. There is a light oxidation on the valve covers a blemishes here and there but everything else is near perfect. Ive had 3 of these bikes over the years and this is by far the nicest one I've ever seen The bike runs like a champ and pulls strongly thru all the gears and idles perfectly .. the only thing I would change are the tires, only because there pretty old, according the date stamp they are from 2000.
