55 chevy truck California black plate on non op. 327 with muncie 4spd said to be from 66 Corvette. Even has the Corvette shifter handle on the muncie still. Original camel hump 462 heads. I was told by the second owner who purchased the truck in 1968 that the motor/trans were from a 66 vette.. who knows, the numbers on the back of the block are from mid 66. Doesn't run been in dry storage since 1986. Truck is complete minus seat. Truck is rust free with the exception of small area of cab corners and a couple of bubbles one one fender bottom that's it! Steps and rockers are good as are the floors. Primer was applied in 1986 in areas over factory paint, no hidden areas. Brown on top of rear fenders is old brown primer. Never been hit, so not full of filler. tailgate is even good! Great starting point. This is common for an old truck. My title and plates match this number and I have 25+ old registrations that go back to 1963. The title states 1955 chevy truck commercial model zb55pu v8. the truck does have the H255 # as well on the cab and frame. motor has not been ran since 1986. I have pulled the plugs and squirted oil in the cylinders. Motor that's been sitting for this long most likely will need overhauled.
