Vehicle Detail

One condition regarding this auction: You must be able to pay for and pick up the car prior to August 16th. This great chrome grill and bumper car was originally supposed to be a project car, but a cracked crankshaft stalled the project, and it must go now before I move. The car was complete and in good shape when purchased. I do have the title, and will sign it over at purchase. It currently has most of the components stripped, some have been rebuilt, and all have been garage kept since being pulled. This would make an excellent parts car for your project, and all of the hard work (and bloodied knuckles) has already been done for you. One condition regarding this auction: You must be able to pay for and pick up the car prior to August 16th. The car comes with several new, never used or opened components: - Lucas sport ignition coil - British Leyland radio unit - Full set of gaskets - Radiator hose - Spark plugs - Timing belt - Deves piston rings A list of the major existing components with the condition in parentheses: - Chrome grill (in great shape) - Chrome bumper (great shape, see photos) - Wire wheels (some rust, need restoration, but have 5 of them) - Dashboard (some rust, fully intact with all gauges) - Radio (untested, but fully intact) - Engine Block (Good, needs to be rebored, but not at the max yet) - Crankshaft (Engine shop inspection indicated that it was cracked) - Head (Good, all valves and springs attached) - Exhaust (header is in good shape, the rest was junk) - Radiator (as is, untested) - Transmission (engages all forward gears, untested however) - Carbs (intact, unrestored) - Starter (Rebuilt, tested + functional) - Alternator (Rebuilt) - Oil system (intact, untested) - Heater + Heater Coil (intact, untested) - Headlights (both intact, with chrome surrounds) - Taillights (as is, have most components) - Hood (some repairs done) - Trunk lid (good condition) - Fenders (good condition) - Brake system (as is) - Wipers (good cond, untested) - Door windows and crank system (good cond) - Windshield (glass is cracked, but frame is in good shape)\ - Convertible top (frame is in decent shape) - Seats (some rust, as is) - Pistons (as is) Please let me know if you have specific questions about any parts Thank You and Happy Bidding On Aug-11-10 at 11:23:15 PDT, seller added the following information:Additional details based on repeated questions: Regarding Rust - The components ahead of the firewall are in decent shape, but have some rust. Behind the firewall there is extensive rust. I never stripped the rear quarters, but the one section of paint I did remove revealed bondo on rust (visible in the photos). The floors were removed by me during my restoration effort. I would like to make clear that this is a parts car. Most all of the parts (engine, transmission, etc) are not in the car and are on shelves in my garage. Anyone winning this car will need to bring a trailer to haul it off. Please do not bid if you are expecting a driving, functional car. Thank you and happy bidding
