The 2002 Escape is designed for maximum comfort, convenience, passenger roominess and cargo flexibility. The optional full-time four-wheel drive system provides you with the choice of two difference settings: 4x4 Auto or 4x4 ON. The automatic setting allows it to determine how to apportion torque between the front and rear wheels, while the 4x4 ON setting splits the torque evenly between the front and rear drive wheels, enhancing performance when driving off-road or in other uncertain driving conditions. Condition and Features: This SUV looks absolutely beautiful. The interior is clean and looks near new. It has leather seats all around that show little wear. This is an XLT model so it comes standard with a 3.0L Duratec DOHC V-6 engine and a four-speed automatic transmission. The exterior has glossy paint that will make you faint. The body is free from any major dents or scratches. There may be a few minor dings but none significant enough to note. The A/C blows ice cold and will give you a chill that will make you ill. Other features are power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, cruise control, stereocontrols on the steering wheel, cruise control on steering wheel, 6- disk in dash cdplayer, driver power seat, dual airbags, car manual in glove box, leatherinterior, 16-inch Sport aluminum wheels,new tires,side step bars, sport floor mats, and keyless entry. The reason we are selling this Escape so cheap is because the transmission slips pretty bad in 1st gear. Once you gain momentum to shift into 2nd gear, it drives fine from there on and shifts perfectly smooth into all gears. We also noticed a slight misfire that was not there when the vehicle was purchased but we attributed that to it being parked and not run for a couple months.
