I’m relisting my vehicle because eBay has cancelled the winner bid due to issues relating to the buyer’s account and this individual is no longer a registered eBay user. As a precaution I just implemented several buyer restrictions on my eBay account to keep bad buyers away from my listings. Thanks. 1971 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. Engine is a V8, 8.2 L, 500 c.i. and 365 hp. Major features of this vehicle are front-wheel-drive, power windows, power locks, power seats, power vinyl top, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, air conditioning and original AM/FM stereo radio with 8 track tape player. I bought this Caddy last year from AACA Antique Auto Museum in Hershey, PA with the intention to perform a full restoration. They told me this vehicle was donated 5 years ago by one of their members and was sitting there while waiting for a restoration that never happened. Since I got it I just made a few improvements, like new power steering pump, radiator and battery as well as some maintenance such spark plugs, oil and filters, hoses, valve cover gaskets, thermostat, pcv valve etc. Vehicle runs and drives very well. Engine works great and doesn’t smoke, transmission shifts fine, breaks are nice and white wall tires are good. As per the data plate, original color is Dark Blue (you still can see this color below the headlights and the right side of rear panel). It was first fully painted white then got the metallic silver painting on the exterior body only. Painting is faded on the hood and trunk lid. Red interior is decent. Carpet is still good and original seats show their age. All glass is good but driver’s window has scratches that can be removed with glass polisher. Odometer reads 09,150 but original miles are unknown. Original clock, speedometer and fuel gauge work fine. AC seems to work but doesn’t blow cold air (may just need to be recharged with refrigerant). Generator/alternator is charging the battery but the light on dash stays on. All power windows work. Power seats and power locks do not work. Power vinyl top works up and down but needs some adjustment. Vinyl tops needs to be replaced. It comes with the parade boot. As shown on pictures, it has some superficial rust as well as rusted through spots on the driver rocker panel and trunk lid. Floor pans are in good shape as well as the trunk compartment. Vehicle doesn’t have any leaks and undercarriage is in very good shape.
