Vehicle Detail

This 1970 MGB is just what you've been looking for! It's not a spotless show car (read: they cost lots of $$), but it has never sat in a field either...as so many of these jewels have. This year of MGB has a split rear chrome bumper. It is red with a black primered hood. The black vinyl seats are in good shape for the age of the car, with only very minor blemishes upon close examination (I think these have been recovered at some point). I even bought a little backseat to install in the car (a rare option). It has the original hardtop as well as a soft top. It has a four-speed manual transmission with a 4-cyl. motor. We were told by the previous owner that it was restored about ten years ago. I don't think the miles are original. Everything about the car is in decent condition, but as with any 40 year-old car, it does require some tinkering at times. There is still plenty of summer left for you to enjoy this baby! Please give me a call at 417-766-1607 with questions or to take a look! On Aug-09-10 at 18:34:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I want to add some additional information based on questions I've received. 1. I added a picture of the soft top. The question I answered about the soft top does not include information about a small set of two dime-size holes in the left passenger side, just above the rear window. I discovered these after I answered the question and I cannot edit my answer. Easily patchable with vinyl. Also, the torn snap is on the passenger side, not the driver's side. I am not talking about broken clamps, just an ancillary snap. We never used the soft top, we always just took off the hard top when we wanted to go topless! 2. I added a picture of a scratch on the driver's side. The paint job is nice, but not perfect. Along the same vein, the hood is primered because it was keyed under a previous owner. 3. We have used the car to drive short distances only. Many of you have asked about whether the car could be driven home to your location hundreds of miles away. Theoretically, yes; however, I would recommend that it be trailered. The longest trip we've taken in it is about 60 miles, and we typically drive it on much shorter trips around town. It is completely the winner's choice if he/she would like to take the chance and drive it, but the car is 40 years old and an MG. If needed, we can trailer it for you for $2 per mile. 4. What are the actual miles? I don't know. The engine looks like it has been rebuilt, but I have no proof of this. I am guessing that the 02970 odometer indicates 102970 miles, but again, I don't know when the engine was rebuilt. 5. There is no visible rust on the vehicle. The floor pans and rocker panels are solid. Thanks for your interest!
