Vehicle Detail
The car I have for auction is a 1967 Porsche 912. I got this car as a restoration project 6 months ago, and Im losing my working space to restore it. I have no place to work on it, so I have to sell it and get it moved fast. Hopefully it will find a good home. I will start with a overall description and then get into more details. This is a non-running 1967 Porsche 912 This car has factory Fuch Wheels (has the most sought after 6" wide alloy wheels, hard to find) Original owner purchased 5 spd upgrade. This is a 5 gauge car, original color was Irish Green. 4 wheel disk brakes. Silver paint job looks good from a distance, but has many flaws when you look up close. Car is over all clean for the age without any previous restoration. Car has many rust spots and will need a full restoration before it will be drivable. A very good project car, is very complete, but needs lots of tlc. All of the pictures where you can see grass are when I first got the car moved 4 months ago. It was hard to get a good look at the car in the garage it is in now. Also there is a picture of the engine in the car, and how it was removed. Currently the engine is out and dissasembled. All other pictures are how the car looks now. All of the glass is great, no chips or cracks in any of the 8 panes of glass. (windshield, back glass, side pieces x 6) The car is all numbers matching (body, trans, engine) , and is 99% complete. When I bought the car, it was a literal "barn find", my grandfather had kept it in his shed for 14 years. Im losing my place to work on the car halfway through rebuilding the engine. The engine is disassembled down to the block. I kept every piece of the car in labeled zip-lock bags (see picture) And took lots and lots of reference pictures along the way (I will include these on a disk for the buyer) I have not touched the interior, body or any other section of the car beyond cleaning and inspecting for rust. I have removed bumpers, carpet, gas tank and a few other small things to inspect for rust. There is a large rust spot where the battery had leaked, and a small brace which holds the front left suspension has come loose. this panel will definitely need to be replaced. Only other rust areas are, drivers floor pan, some spots around windshield weatherstripping and in corners and small areas around the car. The ignition key and door lock key were lost over the years. The car has an non-original after-market rear lid (trunk) on it currently (it is an RS type duck-tail rear lid says "carrera" ), although I also have the original rear lid with the original grill (original rear lid had no spoiler, shown in picture with a 'peach' paint-job). I will also include a front air-dam type bumper guard (I have no idea if this was an option, it came with the car) which has front fog lights. Also interior seams to have been redone during late 70's, have not been able to match this pattern to any sold in 67. The car has a clear title. I also have all of the literature from the previous owner, including the original manual (pretty worn out) and I will include a reprint the 912 owners guide manual. If you have any questions please let me know! I could talk for days about this car. Im going to miss it very much and hope to find it a good home. Car MUST be picked up within 1 week of the auctions end. I am losing my spot to store the car and must get the car moved fast. Buyer is responsible for picking up and hauling the car. I will accept PayPal or cash at the point when the car is picked up.
