This is a 1996 Mazda MX-6 M Edition. The car is loaded and in addition to the features described above it has a 6 month old aftermarket Pioneer sound system, keyless entry with alarm, fog lights, alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. It also comes with a spare doughnut. The engine is strong, there is no body rot and the car is mechanically in sound shape. It's running well and inspected in Rhode Island through February 2012. I've had it since March 2007 and it's been very reliable. However, it does need some work. There is a leak in the coolant system which has been treated with sealant but still requires adding frequent antifreeze. It is drivable like this but it really needs a new radiator. I've recently been told that it also needs a new timing belt and water pump. The air conditioning does not work-the blower works, but hot air comes out. I tried recharging it but that didn't work, so it would need repair. In addition, the windshield is cracked-the result of a large stone that hit it on the highway. This didn't prevent it from passing inspection. The paint is cracked on the spoiler and peeling in a couple of other spots. The right fog light is out. The leather seats are clean and in good condition except for some cracks, mostly on the driver's seat. Despite these issues the car is fundamentally sound. I'm not selling it because it needs repairs, but because circumstances require me to get a bigger car and this one no longer meets my needs. It was my favorite car and I really didn't want to get rid of it, but I don't have a choice. I'd like it to go to someone who will fix it up. I honestly think it would have a good chance of getting to 200,000 miles and maybe beyond with the proper repairs. The car has gone through many owners before me and the title I have for it is not the original. It notes that there was a previous title in South Carolina. There are no title brands or comments on the title I have. I do not know anything about the title issue noted in the AutoCheck report.It's been in a couple of minor accidents since I had it-no major accidents in its history that I know of. The driver's side door is not original. For these reasons it has a very low reserve. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs.
