We purchased this van last January with full intention to add a handicap transportation service to our taxi service business. Shortly afterward, we sold the business and the new owners weren't interested in providing this type of transportation. We intended to use it to provide non-emergency transportation through our ambulance/EMS company, however the non-compete agreement from the cab sale was precluding us from doing so. After some legal wrangling, we've decided to just sell it and move on. This van serviced only a few customers and we've put less than 2000 miles on it since we purchased it, including 1000 miles getting it to Michigan from Dallas. This van looks sharp, runs smooth, and was originally from the United States government. We purchased it through a dealer in Dallas, TX, and it has been housed in a heated garage/ambulance station since January. The heat blows hot, and the air blows icy cold in both the driver and passenger compartments. We did have the van striped and logo'd when we purchased it, and all logos/striping is easily removable vinyl. You may choose to keep the red striping, and remove the white phone number(s) and put this van right into service. While in our care, this van has been maintained and serviced by professional, ASE certified mechanics, and features two brand new rear tires with less than 100 miles on them. The mounted fire extinguisher is also new. This van seats 9 (including the driver and TWO wheelchairs). The Ricon lift (with remote) meets ADA & National School Bus standards, and is rated to lift up to 800 lbs. Lift runs and operates smoothly and with ease. Included with the van is one (1) wheelchair, and a full set of tie-downs. This van is being offered for local pick-up only from Marquette, Michigan.
