Vehicle Detail

Bedeo store Up for bid is a 2000 Saab 9-5 Wagon, Gary Fisher edition. Nice looking vehicle inside and most of outside. GREAT sound system (Harmon Kardon). Heated seats (works), FWD, and other features you'd expect to find in a higher end vehicle. But, this is now a project car. Minor hit and run on left rear (see pictures) which damaged the fender and muffler and put a ding in the wagon gate. Here's what else we know about it: - Motor mounts and transmission mounts appear to be worn. - Water pump broke and then serpentine belt went. Car was very hard to steer and then finally no longer would start. - High brake pedal; we were told by Firestone that the power assist is gone.** - Check engine light is on. Test at Auto Zone says it's the O2 sensor. - Headlight array is intermittently not working. Passenger side low beam does not work, even though we replaced the bulb. - Air conditioning works, but the diverter to send the air into the cabin appears to have malfunctioned. Heater works fine. - The digital read out on the center dash with time, mpg etc sometimes doesn't display properly. - Turbo has been replaced at some point as was functioning before the other problems began. Should still be. The car is now out of inspection, but is still registered. The car will not start, even with a jump, and will need to be towed by you. We hate to send this car to the wrecker with so much inside in such nice shape. Felt so solid and safe when it was running. Please note that WE ARE NOT MECHANICS and are unqualified to give you a complete picture of what is wrong with this car. All we can do is repeat what we've been told by others, or have tested. We are selling this car AS IS, WHERE IS, with no warranty or guarantee. We've tried to give as complete a picture as possible. Basically, the first owner babied the car, according to the records, and the second owner drove the heck out of it. We have done the oil changes and such, but this is now more than we can afford to fix. If you're handy, you could have a nice automobile and our loss will be your gain. **If the car is purchased by you for over $800, we will include the power assist we purchased that should fix this brake problem. The part itself is worth over $350 and is still in the box in which it was shipped to us.
