Vehicle Detail

Low miles, great and solid project car. Very original for the most part. * 352 V8 * Cruise-O-Matic automatic transimission* 61,498 miles* AM Radio The car runs good, though I can't get it started at the moment. Likely a solenoid or starter issue. Brand new battery. Rides very, very smooth. The convertible top works fine. However threads in the rear window are starting to separate (see additional pics). The body is pretty solid as far as I know. There appears to be a couple small bondo touchups. No holes in the side panels, though there are a few surface bubbles. And one small cluster of rust holes in the top of the right fender (see additional pics). The trunk bed has a rust hole (see additional pics). I originally bought this car as a project car when I used to design and maintain www.Holley.com—to use as an example of how to use Holley's 20,000 page website to find the exact parts for your particular vehicle. Before I did anything other than change the carburetor, I decided to use a 1968 Camaro for this purpose and to leave this Galaxie as "original" as it is. And since the Camaro, the Galaxie has basically sat for several years, the last few outdoors, hence some surface rust in a few spots (see additional pics). The interior is in good shape, except the carpeting. One crack in the dash on the passenger side (see additional pics). And though the roof doesn't leak, it is somewhat stained in a few spots (see additional pics). One tear in the seating beneath the back of the driver's seat, visible only when the seat is pushed forward (see additional pics) and one spot in the back seat where 6" of thread has unraveled. Again, a great running car and a perfect project. Still has lots of life in it. And lots of potential. "As is" sale. Immediate needs:* Shifter link needs adjustment - starts in Reverse or Drive instead of Park or Neutral.* Carburetor leak.* Won't start at the moment. It did start and ran fine a few months ago, then sat. I suspect a solenoid or starter issue. I do have an unused starter that goes with this car.* Carpeting* Rear window threads separating. Extras: * Starter* Shocks (front)* Misc parts (see pic): - Light bulbs - Chrome pieces - other See additional detail pictures: http://www.CyberAlley.com/62Galaxie/PhotoGallery/ Call with any questions you may have:John Gnotek - 248-760-0270
