Vehicle Detail
This is a "no reserve" auction is for our 1982 Jaguar XJS HE . HE stands for High Efficiency. This car gets in the low 20s for gas mileage on the freeway. This is a wonderful car to drive. It’s quiet, smooth, comfortable, fun, and has lots of power. It is amazing on corners, and crossing our mountain passes is nothing to this powerful cat. Odometer 83K, power steering, brakes, windows and door locks. NOTE: THIS CAR IS REGISTERED IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON. THE TITLE READS "REBUILDABLE" ONLY BECAUSE THE FENDER WAS REPLACED IN 2000 AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY RETITLED THE CAR THIS WAY. IT RUNS STRAIGHT AND STARTS WELL. Last spring the car was renovated with new paint, interior head liner, door panels, seals, rear end rebuilt and major engine tune up, see below for details. Paint – Spring of 2009, Light metallic Blue. Nice paint job. Not show quality perfect, has a couple very small flaws. This car has no rust. It was factory undercoated. Engine –V12 5.3 liter -- Spring 2009 new valve cover gaskets, fuel injectors cleaned, new fuel injector rubber seals and intake manifold gaskets, radiator caps and thermostats. New electric fuel pump installed. Filters -- New air and fuel filters installed. Oil and filter changed right before listing. Sensors – New O2, water and air temp sensors replaced Spring 2009. Tune up – New spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Electrical – New alternator and alternator belt installed Oct. 2009. New headlamp relay. Tires – Front tires brand new less than 100 miles on them, back tires 10,000 miles on them. Brakes – New brake pads front and back including hand brake. New calipers and disc on the rear. New master cylinder. Transmission –GM TH400. In Oct. 2009, the oil and filter were changed. Differential – Salisbury Posi-trac, new bearings and seals installed. Repainted. Seals – New steering boots on the rack and pinion, new door and window seals including windshield and aft window. Audio – AM/FM/CD with power antenna. Interior - New headliner. Seats, dash, and side panels are good. Some minor repair at top of seams on back seat. Some scuffing on console. The color is buckskin. VIN=SAJNV5847CC105795 The title on this car has Washington Rebuilt stamped diagonally across the print. We have owned this car for 9 years. In the State of Washington if an older car is damaged, insurance companies are allowed to refuse to repair the car and instead can purchase the car after an accident regardless of what the owner wants to do with the car. If the owner wants to keep the car, they have to let the insurance company buy them out, but then the owner can buy back the damaged car from the insurance company at a cheap price with a rebuilt title, but the insurance company comes out ahead by not repairing the car. This is what happened with this car. We purchased the car from the individual who bought the car back from the insurance company after his wife had dented in the left front fender. He was able to find a fender and replace it. It turned out to be a Sunday driver and was garaged most of its life. By the condition of the car I believe the mileage to be true at 83,000 miles. The engine does not smoke, burn or leak any oil. This car has always been garaged since we have owned it. It’s been a great car. Reliable, fun, fast, pretty, turns heads, but we have too many cars and want to spend our energy on restoring an old GTO. Our starting price is low considering the condition of this car, but at this price, you could really have a fun, unique and great looking car for commutes or Sunday drives. Potential buyers are welcome to call and ask questions as well as come out and test drive and look at the vehicle. Our number is: 360-480-7305. Please leave a message if call not picked up and we'll call back asap. We live outside of Olympia, WA and buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle. A minimum of $2,000 deposit is required through Paypal within 24 hours of auction close and remaining balance is due in cash within 7 days of auction close. The total price to us will be the final eBay price. We do not charge any extra fees (some sellers charge paperwork fees).
