Vehicle Detail

1983 MERCEDES BENZ 300TD Wagon High Mileage, "Love Craft" Bio Diesel, Well Maintained, TURBO DIESEL WagonRust free California car, registered until February of 2011 This 1983 Mercedes 300TD wagon has a Love Craft single tank vegetable oil conversion. This car will run on Straight Vegetable Oil, Waste Vegetable Oil, Biodiesel, Diesel, or a combination of any of these fuels simultaneously. The single tank conversions are the easiest and most efficient way to run vegetable oil in a bio diesel converted car. This will save money on fuel. This vehicle is capable of having a zero petroleum life, except for the crankcase oil that is. Running on vegetable oil will extend the life of the engine. It is currently running on waste vegetable oil (WVO) that has been filtered to get out all of the impurities. That makes it an above ground fuel source. These are known to have a 500,000 to1,000,000 mile engine. Vegetable oil will aid in reaching these high mileage marks. It has yellow (professionally repainted) exterior, with Tan (palomino)interior. The engine is a 5-Cylinder, 3.0 liter, single overhead cam, Turbo diesel, 4-speed automatic transmission, power assisted 4-wheel disc brakes, manual sunroof, roof rack for surf board or extra children, recently renewed air conditioning with climate control, power windows, central locking and power steering, The cruise control works perfectly. The stereo is a Pioneer with a remote control and CD player and a working power antenna. It has alloy original wheels and good tires all the way around. The wood dash trim and console are in good condition with some minor cracks across the center portion clear coat. The paint is in very good condition and has been repainted some time it it's life with a quality job. The rubber, trim and chrome are all in good condition. There is NO rust. All glass is good. The grill emblem is new. The front grill is in excellent shape. The seats are firm and comfortable and in good shape. The dash has some cracks. The headliner is in excellent condition. The carpets are good. The door panels have several places with mild rippling, it is viewable in some photos but all and all in very good condition. The drivers seat has a slight sag t it but very minor. Especially for the 348,270 miles...you would never guess this good looking Mercedes with Love Craft bio-diesel conversion would have this many miles. All doors close like a vault and there are no rolling rattles. It is sound and powerful. Mechanical Condition: This car has receipts for over $3500 to include: new rear axles, new a/c compressor, climate control, brakes, glow plugs (all 5), oil & filter all done recently. Mechanically this car is sound. The transmission up-shifts and down-shifts shifts smooth in all gears. It accelerates well through all gears. There are no leaks and the engine has the typical diesel rough idle but smooths just off idle and the power rolls on smoothly. The car drives straight with no pulling. The brakes are good and the suspension is tight except for some minor front end wondering. Other than that, the car handles very well and corners flat and steadily. The new rear axles help with that. The tires have about 65% tread left on them. Love Craft conversions are one of the most respected and well crafted bio diesel single tank conversions on the market. They are precision manufactured for years of low maintenance dependability. Please contact me directly with any questions. Let's make a deal.
