1976 Ford F250 Highboy (High clearance) Pickup.AT,AC,4WD. VIN F26YRC78812, 93000 miles on truck. Had a rebuilt 390 put in while back; would estimate it has 10,000 miles on it.Running strong, but burning gas. Timing and carb, points, etc need checking. Spark plug/wiring OK. I have owned this truck for about 15 years. Don't drive it enough to justify insurance and licensing (about 100 miles/year lately--use it to haul trash off). Had it on ebay several months ago, but it just missed the reserve. Let's try again--if you get close, maybe I will dump the reserve.. It is registered in CA. (Rust--What Rust?) If relicensed in CA or NV, it will need a smog inspection. (Nearest smog station to me is 50 miles away, so I haven't had it checked. We don't need it annually.) You do the smog. Will sell for less than parts value. Easy restoration to mint! (I don't have time to work on it.) Lost the original write up, so here goes: Walk Around Inspection----starting at right front corner--: Horizontal power steering piston seal was leaking--used a can of 'stop leak' and much better but still drips. Front bumper cracked--caught it on a tree while backing and bent it. see picture. Right front wheel hub--plastic part: lock/free broken internally, Hub parts OK. Tool compartment just aft of door--gets damp in the rain. Left rear corner--rear gas tank filler hose is the wrong one--one end should be smaller than the other. Wrong hose installed but not clamped; haven't been using this tank. Interior: Headliner drooping; chrome holding up headliner corroded. Horn 'button' removed--kept popping out--I cut horn wires and put leftovers in glove compartment. Charge/discharge gage not working. Gas quantity gage hangs up when coming down, to about 55%. A/C, Freon F12 system, compressor runs, but no cold air the last time I checked.. Rear window grooved 'felt' worn; 'Siliconed' window so it wouldn't rattle. Top of hood and roof paint pitted--see picture. Thats a dime in photo. It will run thru a good foot or foot and a half of snow, and climb tall trees! Used it a couple times to haul a full bed of gravel! Squeaks and rattles on a rough 4WD road. Will drive it to you within 100 miles of Sierra City, Ca, Otherwise, you pick up. Cash works for me. Go for it!
