Vehicle Detail
You are Bidding on a: 1960 Willys Motors (Kaiser) CJ5 4X4 Jeep Universal with a clear Texas title. It is for the most part all original other than being painted and the back seat. It has never been “restored” so it is truly a vintage vehicle. My Father purchased this jeep just before my 3rd Birthday in April 1969 so it has been in the family for quite some time. Over the years it has been maintained very well and has pretty much been garage kept except during hunting season, which is pretty much the only time it got driven. The NADA Website, Lists the Average Retail Value of a 1960 Willys CJ5 Jeep at $11,400.00 It goes on to describe a vehicle of Average Retail Value as "in good condition overall. It could be an older restoration or a well-maintained original vehicle." CLICK HERE to See The Official NADA Website With Price Listing For Willy’s 1960 Jeep CJ5. The Body is in really good shape, but does have a couple spots of pretty minor rust in the floor boards and a spot on the passenger side behind the front fender (see picture). Over all the paint job is in pretty good shape and it starts easily and runs quite well. I would really like to restore this myself but lack the time and patience. The gas gauge and speedometer are not working right now but I am not so sure that they are just disconnected. It does need a little TLC and with a little work, it could be put in collector’s condition. It is a really cool vehicle and very fun to drive. When it got painted last the tail lights were removed and never put back on. Also, I don’t believe the heater works. It has four matching tires that have very few miles on them and a good spare. It also has a brand new battery, spark plugs, fresh oil change and filter. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to change out all the other fluids. This is a really awesome jeep and with a little work it could be a really nice classic! I need $500 within 48 hours of the end of the auction and the rest of the money within seven days after that. I am willing to ship it anywhere in the continental United States as long as the buyer is willing to arrange for the shipping and pay for it or you can pick it up personally. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
