Vehicle Detail

I AM SELLING A 1978 CAMARO Z-28 ALL ORIGINAL CAR (COUPE) CAR WAS PURCHASED BY ME and I am the second registered owner. I purchased the car two years ago here on e-bay and the car is from southern California. I paid well over $8500 for this car, and to me its worth it! It has every original part you need the car to have. I have restored many cars and finding and replacing parts in original condition is very expensive. THIS CAMARO IS A VERY GOOD DAILY DRIVER and a very FUN car to drive and own. this is not a bucket of bolts or a slapped together old classic to sell on e-bay. I own this car and have taken care of the car and I know cars like this very well, the strong points on this car are the car is very together unit with no molestation, previous hot rodding or body damage. Car will hold its value, and is the current affordable era of the Camaro suitable for full restoration, enjoyment and appreciation. UNRESTORED ALL ORIGINAL AND VERY WELL KEPT 32 YEAR OLD CAMARO CAR IS IN VERY Good condition, and I purchased it with the intention of making it a street car. Original 350 engine with Turbo Hydromatic 400 automatic transmission, power windows and locks, car has the 8 track tape player and orginal factory radio--WOW Car runs and drives well and does not blow smoke or burn oil. True Miles unkown--the car odometer says 22,000 ----all original engine, transmission and drive-train, car has turbine factory wheels (original factory Z-28 wheels) The car is photographed with restored 5 spoke body colored mag wheels (also factory originals) however I will sell these seperately without the car for $1000.00 or make me an offer if you buy the car and I will include this set of rims and tires in the sale. I am not giving this car away. I AM HAPPY YOU LIKE OLD CARS--PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME WHAT THE RESERVE IS ON THE AUCTION. YOU LIKE IT, YOU WANT IT, THEN PLACE A BID. Please do your research and look up the value of one of these cars---here are current values Low Value $5170.00 -- Average Value $8278.00 High Retail 11000.00 (source, nada.com) I have been asked many questions and I am re-listing the car again because previous buyers do not have their financing in order before they bid so the car is up for sale again. YES- the car is drivable and can drive long distances NO-there is no major rust on the car, it does have some surface rust. NO--electrical or overheating problems CAR HAS A CLEAN LOUISIANA TITLE, NO IT IS NOT A SALVAGED CAR THE CAR WAS PURCHASED BY ME AFTER HURRICANE KATRINA I HAVE THE TANK STICKER, OWNER'S MANUAL, DEALER SALES BROCHURE AND WARRANTY BOOKLET The car has been re-painted, and has not been wrecked, I also put a new decal / stripe kit on the car. The air condition is installed but not hooked up, the compressor has been tested and it is good, just vacume lines have dried out and need to be replaced. CALL LOUIS WITH ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS OR E-MAIL 985-807-3855 CAR is Located in Covington, Louisiana 70433 that is 30 miles North of New Orleans, La. Interior has no rips or tears, headliner is just getting loose, AC installed and compressor is good however A/C not hooked up, I painted car and put a new stripe kit on the car--looks good. I also added the body mag wheels with new tires, I do have the turbine original wheels with fairly good tires to sell with the car. Headliner is beginning to sag, door panels are a little flimsy however they are typical Camaro panels, sterero works, center console is missing cover, No cracking dash or anything EXterior-- I had the car painted and added a new stripe kit purchased from Year One--car looks really good = Yes the yellow is the factory color. I added the body colored factory mag wheels, and the Uniroyals are new tires, used trim rings and new centercaps, looks nice. Front grill has a crack in it and was repaired with body glue, lenses are all in good shape and the lighting all works as it should work (turning signals, brake lights and headlights) Appearance is very good---Additionally I am selling the original turbine wheels and tires that came with the car---see photo I have the set of 4 for the car. Engine: When I purchased the car I was told the top half of the motor was re-built (heads have been re-worked) Engine runs well and starts usually on the first crank ---it is carburated so usually needs to be primed with gas and then starts right up. A/C compressor is installed and not hooked up---thus the air is not blowing cold until the completed installation of hoses to compressor. Engine does not knock, shake or vibrate unusally---runs very good and strong, no over heating or other issues. Transmission: Has an automatic transmission in the car, the indicator in the dash does not always work to show car is in D or R etc, not a big deal. Trans does not leak or slip Rear End: Posi rear end with no humming noise or oil leak from rear end-no knocking or clunking noises. If you want a nice factory camaro (original) this is a great one to get started with Or if you want a nice hot rod---car is really together and with some time and effort could be a show piece with little re-build. Car is in very good shape for being so old, and it rides and drives nice. Please look at the photos very good and call and ask me as many questions about the car as you want. I have tried to take very good pictures of the car. The floor pans are NOT rusted out and are in tact very good, so is the trunk, and underneath the rear windshield. This is not a rust bucket car however the car is over 32 years old and is in amazing condition for its age. I keep it stored at my office under a carport with a car cover on it. It is a real head turner. No warranty with sale, so inspect the car and I am pricing the car to sell. You are responsible for shipping call me for any questions 985-807-3855 Louis
