Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a rare & unique custom 1984 3\4 ton duall wheel 4X4 with a not running 350 motor and a 4 speed standard shift transmission. I was told a custom shop out of new jersey put the duall wheels on it and flared out the back fenders. This is definitely one cool ride. I always got lots of looks. I've never seen one like this the entire time I drove it. It does have a few rust holes inside were you open the doors and around windows (nothing that can't be fixed) and some scratches and dings. It could use a paint job but overall it's in very good shape. Remeber it is a 1984. If you throw a motor in this you have an awesome ride. It would make a great race car hauler or anything else you would want to haul. It has a reese hitch on it. With the dual wheels it hauls just like a 1 ton. If you put this in granny gear and put the 4x4 in low range it turns in to a tank. The inspection ran out last fall but the motor had already went bad. The last time I drove it all the lights and wipers worked. All the windows worked except the back passenger window needs a switch and the back window in the fold down tailgate started slipping like the gears are getting bad. I'm not sure, I am not a mechanic. The motor is bad but I'm not sure exactly what is wrong with it. I would assume there are plenty of salvageable parts that would be good. I had just put a new starter on it. The 4x4 works awesome, excellant transmission and great clutch. The tires on the back are weather ckecked. It will need tires on the front. This does have automatic shifter in it if you decided you wanted to go back to an auotmatic. The guy I bought it off said it had a 460 with automatic transmission in it. He put the 350 with standard shift in it. It has steel wheels and aluminum hub caps. It also has a roof rack and a windshield visor. The drivers seat has some tears. The rest of the seats are nice. In the way back, the carpet has tears and stains. The head liner is coming loose in places (easy fix). The back seats fold down so you can put full sheets of plywood in or haul all your contractors tools & workers. No matter what you do with it I will bet you will have a lot of fun with it.
