Here is a 1968 El Camino SS that was ground up restored in 1996 and had $45,000 put into it to make it a brand new auto. A 1996 S-10 (Brand New Truck which shares the same frame) was used as a donor auto. The 68 El camino was stripped down and all the parts from the S-10 was put in. So what you have in the El Camino is a original restored Original look on the outside and all custom vortex V-6 Technology inside including the drivetrain, Computer everything. I have redone the car to it's original restoration by upgrading everything. The engine has been gone thru and still has 32,000 original miles along with the transmission and rear end. All the chrome is 1 year old on the Elco and Paint job the same with special paint stripe and custom Half top. The wheels and tires have less then 2000 miles on it. Brakes and shocks, rubbers everything has been replaced. The interior is all custom with all being redone within the last year. Has power everything nothing left out. The computer hookup is under the dash. And yes this ELCO meets Calif Emissions. This car can be driven cross country and can be registered and meet emissions anywhere. The stereo is custom am/fm,cassette and cd with remote and sounds fabulous. There is a custom alarm that open the door for you. This car gets close to 24 miles per gallon and just about 300 horsepower. Lets see any Elco beat this.
