This non-smoking, 1 owner, garage kept car was purchased new in late 1995 from Gene's Chrysler-Dodge (now Federico Chrysler-Dodge), in Wood River, IL. My mother is the original owner & is no longer driving so the car is not needed. It is in overall excellent condition & drives beautifully. All service records & original books are in the car. It has been meticulously maintained & has been run on full synthetic Valvoline oil with regular oil & fluids changes. This car was manufactured in the time when Mercedes-Benz had taken over Chrysler & it is probably the most technically advanced American auto for that year. The engine in this car is a good example, it has the optional 3.5 liter (214 cu in & 214 HP!) V-6, with 24 valves & overhead cams, electronic fuel injection. The plug wires & platinum spark plugs have recently been replaced. It is front wheel drive with traction control & 4 wheel ABS disc brakes.The transmission is a smooth shifting 4 speed auto. This car is fantastic in any kind of weather. It is very powerful for passing safety but still gets 20 mpg in town & 28 mpg hwy. It also has a digital auto temp control so you can set the interior thermostat & it will maintain the temperature for you. There are also rear console air/heat adjustable vents. The rear view mirror can be set to auto dim if bright lights are in back of you. The rear window electric defroster is very fast working. The newly replaced headlights are the latest Sylvania Silver Star Ultra for superior night vision. The interior is very expansive with plenty of leg room front & rear. There is also an overhead console for your sunglasses case, garage door opener (to be placed for one touch instead of on your visor), fuel remaining in miles, fuel mileage, digital trip odometer, compass & ouside air temp. The sun visors both have adjustable lighted mirrors & have a 2nd visor above the first set so you can have sun protection from both the side & front at the same time on both sides. There are reading lamps front & rear as well as dome & door lights. The Infinity stereo system & AM/FM radio has both cassette & CD players with 5 graphic equalizer slide bars & fantastic sound with an automatic rear power antenna. The gray leather interior has no holes, tears or serious scratches. The carpet is excellent & the original floor mats are still in very good condition. The cavernous trunk has a cargo net & a remote release button in the glove box. There is also a factory alarm system for insurance discounts. The hood release is inside the driver's door. There is a small flaw on the frt pass side interior door panel, it appears to have been done by a passenger's cigarette but it is not darkened or discolored (see pictures) & I believe it could be repaired. There is absolutely no smell of tobacco being used in the car. The ashtry is original & flawless. The outside frt pass door has a scratch in the lower door moulding but it is not very noticeable (see pictures). There is no rust & the origianl Spruce metallic paint has no imperfections other than minor rock chips or small scratches from normal driving. The side view pictures have refections that may appear to be scratches but they are not, see the angled side shots. The matching Michellin tires are about 40% remaining. Whoever gets this car will have made a good investment in solid, low cost, luxury transportation.
